Spice Islands Premium Taco Seasoning with Chipotle Cocoa Powder and Corn Meal, 24.5 Ounce

I first purchased this at Costco YEARS ago- I have been buying it from Amazon ever since. I never use the packets anymore- this has so much more flavor and a lot less salt! I also use this for more dishes than just tacos (fajitas, chili, chicken breasts, casseroles, sloppy joes, literally everything!).

I love to make my own seasoning. Working as much as I do I always have some pre made seasoning to use on busy weeknights and I’ve tired a lot. This seasoning is just wonderful. I really can’t say enough about this one. This is not to hot for guests that don’t tolerate heat very well. I prefer hot tacos so the only addition I add is cayenne pepper to my liking. I use this in tacos , Chili and stews. I would recommend you try this if you are tired of the boring major brands in the boring supermarket spice isle. The stuff in the yellow packets don’t hold a candle to this. Treat the inner taco lover in yourself, and your dinner companions will thank you.

Once I bought this years ago and tried it I knew I wouldn't buy any other taco seasoning. Great ingredients. Real bang for your buck with the size and price. Delicious.

I've tried them all and this is my favorite taco seasoning. I use 1 capful per 1# of beef with an added 1T of sugar and 2T of tomato sauce.

Great taste, and a great price for a gluten free seasoning. Works well with ground turkey, ground beef, and one of those super cheap Costco whole roasted chicken. Shred chicken, and put in a pan, add a good amount of seasonings, and a good amount of water. Simmer for 15 minutes with lid on, remove lid and simmer until water is mostly gone.

One thing I hate about packaged seasoning mixes is they're so darn salty can't tolerate it and they just don't have the flavor that you want well I'm a fan of Island spice for its flavor and for its ease of use in the kitchen and I use it in many different things not just tacos

Wow! This stuff is amazing. Taking a whiff right out of the package was such a treat. An even better treat was heavily sprinkling this over some curly fries before they went in the oven. Delicious. It doesn’t have that American Mexican taco packet taste to it, with the maltodextrin that keeps those orange oils a powder before it’s been heated. This product has some actual tiny chunks of the ingredients used to make this spice blend, which is basically a declaration of just how natural it is! It still tastes like the packet seasoning in the aspect that it has all the familiar flavors and smells, but it lacks that MSG umami tang to it & added sugar sweetness that is in the “fast food” taco seasonings you find at Stater Bros or Albertsons. Don’t get me wrong, my tongue loves that salty MSG taste! But it’s simply not a health product, whereas dried peppers and seasonings are like basically taking a multivitamin!

I am so happy to have found this brand, it is the best tasting taco seasoning I have found.
