Best dorm purchase ever (parent’s edition)
My husband rolled his eyes when I showed him this purchase. I think I’ll get the last laugh though when we load up the car! This thing is holding all the trappings for the bed in our daughter’s dorm. Inside this roll includes a 3-inch foam topper, a mattress encasement to keep the bedbugs away, a mattress cover, a comforter, a blanket, a sheet set, 3 bed pillows and 4 toss pillows! Now to see if it holds up and doesn’t pop open like a can of busted biscuits in transport!

Vacuum bag success!
I needed a way to bring home my 4" memory foam from my travel assignment in Maine and this bag did not disappoint! I'd had other people warn me they had had their bag tear but mine did not! Rode 1500 miles in the car and is still holding my mattress strong in the closet here at home!!

Works for vacuum bagging during surfboard construction
I used this bag for vac-bagging a surfboard I built. Worked great for that and held vacuum for ~24 hrs.

Worked like a Charm
For my purposes, it worked like a charm.i had to flatten 2 Twin mattresses, two toppers and bedding including covers and pillows.I ordered the extra high bag 14 inches so it worked great. my mattress was 6 plus 3 topper plus covers and pillows. so it all fit nicely.TIP: to ensure a tight sealing fit for the zipper, follow the instructions and make sure you slide the slider once done to the furthest end up to the parking edge. ALSO endure you run YOUR FINGERS pressing the zipper 3-4 times to ensure no pockets of unclipped zipper. The plastic will become more manuverale and pliable with the passing of the warm fingers after the zipper slider- this ensured that no leaks impeded the compression. USE a good vacuum., BE PATIENT, and I helped it along by walking on the mattress as it collapsed while someone held the vacuum over the valve. This helped the ear to be pushed out easier (less work for your vacuum. ADDITIONALLY, i collapsed it to almost 90 % but not all the way so it would not bee too stiff and I could roll it up. PLUS -the straps came in handy not only to keep the mattress rolled but also helped me lift and carry down the stairs and into my cars' backseat to transport it. and then place it in the storage locker. AS an added precaution i lined the floor so nothing would scrape or snag on the plastic bag. I will be gone for 2 months on vacay-- if i remember i'll take another shot upon my return and let you know if the mattress remained rolled and strapped in my absence. Thus far- 2 weeks - it has held well (just stopped by the storage unit yesterday. Both bags are still intact and rolled up neatly.

Works great once!
So, we stuffed an 8" mattress in this and once the vacuum sucked as much as it could we walked on it in socks to squish it even further! That reduced the mattress at least one to two inches. Then rolled it up tight and used the straps and added duct tape in between. Then wrapped in movers cling wrap along with more tape. Still managed to rip a hole in the bag BUT that's why you use duct tape too, the mattress COULDN'T inflate so it was all good. Survived a 4,000 mile trip in a trailer with only two small holes from rubbing on something. Overall I'm happy as I didn't have to try and sell my mattress only to buy another here so I figure it was worth the one time use and price.

Easy
This is a five star with one design change: a second valve in the opposite corner.Ordered this for a twin topper, easy to insert into the vacuum bag, wide opening. Some tips:- remove all bag wrinkles before starting air removal-the actual air removal will take ~45 minutes, make sure you are comfortable, it is slow. (A second valve would speed it up as it collapsed around the valve first making it harder to shrink.- you must have a hose, no wand, and extend it to assure the least amount of resistance.Works well and the topper is ready for the next guests.

Great concept. Poor execution
As with most "seal bags" they work great as they seal was really impressed with how flat it was able to get the memory foam mattress. And if I had a way to store it flat...maybe it would have been good. But I bought it to be able to roll back up. Once I sealed it and then rolled it ad strapped it. It started to expand. So instead of the picture in the ad. It looked like a fat man in a skinny suit. (R.I.P. Chris Farley) it didn't stay rolled tight and uniformed. I am hoping that it at least stays air tight. Guess we will find out when we need it again. Right now it in the garage with 95* weather.
