can this be used in non salt water softners?

I do not know. You should read the description. My softener uses salt.

Add the cleanser into the brine well. This is the 4 inch plastic tube found inside the salt tank.

How much do you put in the softener at one time ?

You add one entire bottle each cleaning. This should be done 3 times a year or every 4 months.

can I use this for my rheem water softener? thanks

I used this 2 years ago. My system was making the water too soft, VERY SLIPPERY in the shower. This cured the problem. Last 2 years I have added 1/3 cup of REZ CARE each month to my system. That seems to keep the system in balance. I have a "Fidelity Filter Max System". Which was "state of the art" 15 years ago when it was installed. My system tends to over soften the water, making it slippery. My system takes ALL taste out of the water. Great system, just needs to be controlled.
