I can see the hot glue used to hold magnet within, so hopefully it holds upInstall: easy, drywall anchors helpful. Mounting notches not cut evenly on the back but still usable with slight adjustment to get a level bar. Don’t pull down too hard when you’re sliding the bar in place, seems like the wood backing can break easilyMagnet: tried a large Cutco knife & kitchen scissors, which held up well. Taking them on/off, the bar seemed sturdy and magnets had a strong pull. Using standard magnets there are pockets every couple inches where the forces repel. Tried a 0.5lb metal Durabuilt plier and that slid right off

The magnetic strip knife holder is really great if you're lacking in drawer/counter space. I appreciate the look and simplicity of it, and the ease of use! Your knives are ready to go without a bulky knife block taking up half your counter space. I highly recommend. **Just be sure that your knives are dry before you stick them on there after washing! Or else rust will show up on your knives.

This compact knife holder is perfect for a small space. It looks very nice and works great! The magnet feels secure; it holds my knives without worrying that they will fall. I like that it is wood because the knives can be removed easily and the wood prevents scratching/dulling. There aren't any "dead spaces" on the magnet. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Confirming what other Reviewers have stated: This is a GREAT knife holder.It has a POWERFUL magnet, get a knife about an inch from it and it is already pulling to snatch the knife from your fingers/hand.The quality of the wood, backing is lacking some quality HOWEVER, if one has any DIY'er in them and should this product begin to fail, it can easily be restored. But if all it is holding is knives, I can't see it falling apart.I could see this holder in a workshop, holding smaller hand saws, screwdrivers and other smaller tools!If one has any metal items they'd like hanging on the wall for quick access, this holder can handle it.Extremely pleased with it. Owned for about 6 months, not an issue to be had. Holding all my favorite, most used knives 6 in total of various sizes and weight.

After receiving this..it was immediately not impressed with the quality. The magnit seems to hold on, but they strip, itself, it's cheaply made.

Very easy to install, just used the box it came in to mark the location if the screw holes, put the holes in the wall, screws in, and rack up in just a few minutes. Thanks to my poor organization it took longer to find the drill bits than it did to install this.Very happy with the wood look of this over the strips that are just magnetic strips.It seems to hold the knives very well, magnetic hold feels good but using the leverage of the handle it comes off the rail easily. I didn't put any large chef knives on it just using it for some cheese and pairing knives as well as a small light chef knife.I would buy this again if I needed another, or recommend to a friend if they were looking for one for sure.
