Frank Herbert created a universe that was compelling and I personally can't get enough of it. I'm deeply grateful that his son Brian, with Kevin Anderson, has been able to take his notes and continue the story-telling after his death. The Duke Of Caladan takes us to the period shortly before the first Dune book, so we get to spend time once more with Duke Leto, Jessica, Paul and their loyal companions, as well as seeing more of the politics of the time and a few more plot twists. That this is the first book of another trilogy is fantastic - even more for me to enjoy!!
