Solid bit of kit
This is the third shovel that I have brought. The other 2 broke easily when trying to remove a tree stump. The JCB Shovel went through the roots like a hot knife through butter. It doesn't even flex let alone bend and its not particularly heavy either. Very highy recommended. I brought it based on other reviews on here and I am not disappointed. Well worth the price too.

Seems solid
Looks ok and seems sturdy enough. I had to dig a large hole in the back garden and if I ever get round to digging the hole I will let you know how it performed.

If Arnie was a spade...
...He would look like this. This is a spade and a half. I broke my last wooden handled spade, but this bad boy laughs at everything in its path. Yes, it's weighty, but if you're digging holes, you need some muscle about you anyway. Me man, me dig holes, grrr.

Sturdiness over comfort
Great spade, feels like it will last forever. Not the most comfortable handle but I have has spades in the past that feel great to use that snap so easily. This is not terribly comfortable but is build like a tank

Absolutely indestructible
Great garden shovel. Lives up to the name of being sturdy and practically in breakable.Husband has used it to renovate garden and that includes digging up huge deep rooted hedges and and removing a full lawn. Shovel still solid and good as new. Heavy but that’s what you want. 100% recommended.

Too heavy for general work, but very strong
Far too heavy I'm afraid. Bought for general garden work, removing top soil, levelling, digging out roots and general crap from a completely unmaintained garden of 40 years.I spent forever researching this - Spear & Jackson? Neverbend? Bulldog? Some other random brand from Screwfix or similar?Well, eventually decided on this. My gardener was shocked by the price, and I'm shocked by the damn weight of it. Far too heavy. Meant for site work for Arnold Schwarzenegger types. For my purposes massive disappoint, would typically seek a refund due to the problems with it. And if it wasn't for the fact it's built like a tank, I would pursue that. As it stands, it'll last a lifetime I think so I'll put up with the weight for now.

Absolute beast
This shovel is a little weighty but it pivots rocks out of the ground like a mini digger. Worth the money!
