Worth it!
Absolutely Worth It for Peace of MindWe bought the Nanit Pro with the floor stand for our baby and honestly, it’s been one of our favorite baby purchases.Setup was surprisingly simple. The floor stand is super convenient if you can’t mount anything to the wall (we rent), and it gives you the perfect overhead view of the crib. It feels pretty stable, but we’ll probably switch to the wall mount later. The picture quality is excellent - both day and night vision are super clear. I love that I can check the app when I’m in another room or even away from home. The breathing band was really reassuring in the early weeks. It doesn’t use any sensors on the baby, just a patterned fabric band you wrap around them, and the app shows their breathing motion in real time. Never had any false alarms.Overall, this has been a great investment. I feel more connected and confident knowing I can check on our baby anytime, from anywhere. We’ve recommended it to several friends already. Yes, it’s pricey, but in my opinion, totally worth it for the peace of mind.

I Don’t Even Get Out of Bed Anymore
We've been using the Nanit for a month now with our newborn, and honestly, it might be the most competent member of the household. The camera is insanely clear—even in pitch black, which feels slightly like spy tech for parents. I used to get up and peer into the bassinet like a sleep-deprived meerkat. Now I just grab my phone and boom—instant baby surveillance from bed.The app is awesome too. It tells me how long our baby’s been sleeping, shows her sleep/wake patterns, and gives me way more insight into her sleep schedule than I have into my own. (Seriously, Nanit, can you track my naps too?)Everything about it is intuitive and stress-reducing. Highly recommend to any parent who likes peace of mind and pretending they're running NASA Mission Control… but for naps.

Highly Recommend!
The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor is easily the best baby product we've invested in. It truly deserves every one of its five stars! The 1080p Wi-Fi video is stunningly clear, but the Breathing Motion Tracker with the included band is what truly sets it apart, offering unparalleled peace of mind. The Sleep Coach provides invaluable insights, genuinely improving our baby's sleep. The 2-way audio is fantastic for comforting, and the floor stand gives a perfect view. Plus, it's easily accessible on iOS and Android. This isn't just a monitor; it's a comprehensive system that offers incredible peace of mind. Highly recommend!

You pay a lot for a barely-functional service
If you've got more money than sense, this is a simple baby monitor that promises you plenty of features and delivers on very few. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for basic features, and especially if you're looking for stability and reliability. This product, and indeed the company that sells it, is designed to separate first time parents from their money by selling peace of mind in convenient add-on packages. Everything is designed to nickle-and-dime you for each potential feature, including all of the features they promise in the description. It is very unclear that this is the case until you actually install and use the app. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that you will only be buying this product as an introductory charge -- It costs $300/year extra to store videos for 7 days. The most basic features are pay-gated behind nonsense fees. The package you get for buying this overpriced monitor only lasts a few months, and then all of your features get disabled if you don't fork up another payment.Want sleep tracking? Pay extra. This barely works, by the way. The Nanit app says the baby's fast asleep even if they aren't even in the crib.Want breathing tracking? Pay extra. Also it only works with their specific Nanit-brand clothing.Activity tracking? Pay extra. How about the Day Dashboard? Well, that's included as long as you use the wall mount. If you found the wall mounting sub-par and vaguely unsafe like a lot of these reviewers, you'd probably be better off buying the Multi Stand (which of course costs extra) to replace the wall-mount, and safely placing it out of the baby's reach. If you've changed mounting stands, the Day Dashboard feature is not available anymore, even if it's mounted at an identical location and orientation. There's an online portal so you can view your cameras in a browser, but it does not work 80% of the time and will present you with a loading screen. It will also kick you out every few hours and enforce a new MFA log-in using your phone, completely nullifying the benefit of this feature. The physical design of the the wall mount is a cheap cable-hider and a wall-attaching head unit with a chip in it to tell the camera you bought the stand and not one of their significantly cheaper (and more reliable) competitors. It's flimsy, and eager to fall apart at a moment's notice. The camera head isn't attached by anything substantial, just two prongs and a USB C power connector. It will fall off frequently if you don't tape it on with electrical tape. The camera has no batteries, and will fail the moment the head unit is disconnected from a power source, which will frequently happen due to small vibrations. So what exactly are you paying for? A half-working baby monitor and the privilege to buy additional add-ons for each of the features they list in the description. The company would be happy to send you marketing on all of their products, and some of the easily-searchable tips on baby care for free though! If you purchased the monitor ahead of the baby's birth, you cannot return it. Stylish paperweight, though.

Well worth the price
The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor has truly made a difference for our family. The video quality is amazing—super clear in both daylight and at night—and the two-way audio is great for calming our baby without having to walk into the room. One of our favorite features is the Breathing Band; it tracks our baby’s breathing motion without attaching anything directly to them, which gives us real peace of mind. The Nanit app is user-friendly and works well on both iPhone and Android. It gives us helpful sleep insights, alerts for movement and sound, and even tracks room temperature and humidity. We’ve learned so much about our baby’s sleep habits just by checking the app.We went with the floor stand instead of mounting the camera, and it's been a solid choice. It's sturdy, easy to set up, and keeps cords neatly tucked away—totally baby-safe.Some features do require a subscription after the free trial, but honestly, the sleep tracking and video history are worth it for us. It’s definitely a bit of a splurge, but the peace of mind and extra features make it feel completely justified. If you're on the fence—go for it. We’re so glad we did.
