Command and Conquer Generals: Deluxe Edition - PC

One of the finest games to come out of the Command and Conquer series, CnC Generals and the accompanying Zero Hour expansion introduced non-base-constrained building capability as well as an emphasis on rock-paper-scissors sort of units (which is to say, everything has a counter). Although the graphics are becoming dated, the game now runs pristine on most current computer systems and the vibrant modding community has tips and suggestions for running the game on every OS through Windows 10. Certainly worth your time if you enjoy well-balanced RTS games that refuse to allow anyone to turtle for too long (super weapons in the game have no counter other than destroying their building or removing power).Fight's on!

The game set is 2 games, Generals and Zero Hour. The package came with only 2 disc. One disc was for Generals and one disc for Zero Hour. You need both disc to install the game so the product was useless. The description stated that it was in very good condition and had all 4 disc. Obviously it only had 2 disc, no serial numbers, was in poor condition and there was no way to install either game.

Well ill start of by saying that this game rocks and while I was deployed I would play this all the time. Recenentlly I got a windows 7 laptop and even though it was not design this system it worked great. My only issue is that the actual cd was from the UK and not the US. Besides that's I ran into some issues installing it, my laptop would freeze if I ran the generals.exe. So I had to install it manually searching through the actual cd. Once it was installed I had to run it in compatibility mode windows xp sp2. It work fine but ran into display issues. The maximum this game can go is 1024 by 768 or something like that. Well I had to modify the generals data and go to options and switch the settings to 1600 by 900, for both generals and generals zero hour. Other than that this game rules. So if you're thinking about getting this game get it.

But this game wasn't as much fun as Red Alert II.The solo play is very much the same, too fast and furious for much strategy,and your units as dumb as ever require constant babysitting.I get kicks by winning without reloading, through "superior thinking" but alas it never worked,either it was a walk in the park or I had to replay the same mission many times.As for multiplayer, do I really want to compete in"who can give commands faster than playing piano"?That being said it has excellent graphics and voices and high production values.Units gaining experience is a plus, even though you can't keep track of them.And there are indeed a great variety of units, too bad it seems impossible to control themfast enough.

This game is about a group of generals who try to conquer eachother. It's a lot of fun because there are Chinese generals, Terrorist generals, and American generals. They all have units, and bases, and technology and such; for example the Chinese generals can use Nationalism, the Terrorists have Anthrax, and the Americans have space lasers. The graphics may be a bit outdated, but the game is highly relevant to our world today. There still exists a smallish online community that plays, though not as big as one would like in a strategy game. In conclusion, this is a good game to play.

I have always enjoyed playing this game and purchased this because my CD was getting pretty worn and wanted to get one in better condition. I received the game as ordered - CD was in good condition. The only catch was there was no License Key in the package. Not a big problem as I found that the key from my original game works, but wish this had been advertised up front.

My dad has been a fan of the C&C games ever since they came out. I always enjoyed looking over his shoulder, fascinated by all the destruction he brought down on his enemies. Then it was my turn. This was the first C&C game that I actually played and got hooked on. The levels are diverse and the vehicles, soldiers, and heavy weaponry they give you is as well! The storyline is actually pretty good. Sadly I am nowhere near as good as my dad so in each campaign there is a level I have yet to beat. The expansion that it comes with is icing on the cake. More levels and even cooler vehicle and units to use as your disposal. I recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of strategy games. It will keep you hooked for years!

Product wont play.The run file is for SIMS4.

What I don't like about it is that it takes so long to load and there's no status bar so you can see how much longer until it's ready to play. That's it's main drawback.Sometimes when it's ready to play, there's no audio so you have shut it down and reload and wait another 10 minutes or so until it's ready.

It stopped working on the new windows :(
