Q: How long will the watercolor paint tubes take to dry in a pan??

Yes, it only comes with the paint.

Q: Do these crack when dry?

Never had a crack in my paints either in the paint tray or my paintings. Not quite sure which your question was for. Good paints.

Q: can these be put into a watercolor pan and not crack?

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by crack I’m assuming you mean the paint. I put them in small plastic dishes but I also rinse them out when,my daughter is done using them. The container never cracks but I think you mean the paint and I have to say I don’t know because I do not save the paint generally

Good quality and good value

I bought this for my daughter. The pigments are great and she said the brushes etc are really good too. The palette is very useful. The set has given her everything she needs to explore the use of watercolours. Nicely packaged too.

perfect for beginners

I like to consider myself quite arty but I've never tried watercolours before. I thought i'd give it a go during a weeks holiday and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the paints.Having never used watercolours before it did take some time for me to learn how to mix the paints and how much paint to water I needed, but after a few hours (and a few YouTube videos) I was getting the hang of it.The paint was very easy to use and stayed hydrated for a fair while, the paint pallet was good quality and easy to use.Only lost a star for me because of the brushes. Most of the brushes had stray bristles and were on the cheap side. For a beginners kit though they worked fine. I'd just recommend getting some better quality brushes to go with the paint!
