Big improvement on 5.3 voetec engine
It took GM 2 redesigns for the left hand valve cover since the engine went into there trucks and suv's. In my situation it solved the problem of smoke coming out exhaust on start up and replacing # 1 spark plug every month and a half. The valve cover will pay for itself in no time due to less oil usage and less spark plug replacement on the DOD cylinders.

Flawed
This thing is flawed straight from the mold it came from, there’s some sort of nick on the flat surface that looks like it came from someone from factory line scraping excess mold from the edge, I thought maybe it got damaged during shipping but noticed there’s no extra material where the nick is showing an impact, this would definitely cause a leak. Also the rubber gasket was loose and also coming apart, literally like it was shedding. This company needs to do better with QC and maybe update to a better gasket. Big disappointment, returning.

Do this before valve seals!!!
My 03 silverado started smoking on startup a while back. As someone who’s always worked in cars I thought it was the valve seals. Instead of just changing the seals I bought a new set of heads and spent a weekend replacing them on my truck. But as soon as I was done and fired up the truck it was smoking even worse. I did some more research and found that the valve cover is a big weak spot on these trucks. So I figured I’d give it a shot before I lit my truck on fire and man it solved the smoking issue almost immediately. If your vortec engine is smoking try replacing this before you do anything else!

Does the trick!
It's getting the job done. It resolved my excess smoking problem that became an issue when I would first start my Yukon. I would much rather purchase this aftermarket than spent 140.00 for a GM original Equipment version especially since the GM engineers designed it to scalp us $140 for a $6.00 PCV part that used to be externally mounted.

Thanks GMC for nothing, 2007 Yukon 5.3
I was angry about the amount of oil the old valve cover was allowing into the intake after rebuilding the top end of the engine. Blue smoke and the engine choking also constantly replacing oil passing through the cover. This new cover solved all of problems I experienced. Thanks YouTube for informing me this exists.
