AmefaVintage Cutlery Set

It states 25 years guarantee and that these cutlery are stainless steel but I've only been using my set for 2 months and washing by hand and it's already started to rust at bottom of the handles!!I'm so disappointed because they look lovely and they were intended as a housewarming for me and my partner. I should've listened to the other reviews that said the same thing. I don't know how to get in contact with the seller either so now it feels like a wasteful purchase.

After reading the reviews I was a little apprehensive about buying this product. Nonetheless, they are high quality for the price! They did come with some scratches on that you can see if you look at them really close but overall I’m impressed with the quality for the price. The knives and forks are large but this is the vintage style.

I’ve had this set for 3 years now and they are still going strong.Considering they have been used daily, they still look good. There are some superficial marks - mainly noticeable on the flat sides of the knives - but well within my expectations. They still have a shine on them.The cutlery is nicely weighted and the design is very good in my opinion - classic without being fussy. It’s an excellent general purpose set that wouldn’t look out of place on any occasion.A couple of reviews suggest the cutlery rusts - I have not experienced this. For the first 18 months I washed them by hand, and since then they have been washed in the dishwasher with no special treatment. As long as you make sure the cutlery is dried promptly you should be absolutely fine.Highly recommended.

I loved the look and weight of this cutlery, until I used them!The blades of the knives became severly scratched upon first use to the point that they look dirty all the time. Very, very disappointed as they looked very posh on my dinner table.

I am really disappointed with this set, especially after reading all of the reviews. I actually ended up getting two sets in total, both equally poor.The first set I ordered started to rust within a month, it seems the edges on the forks and teaspoons were not properly coated or sealed. I had hoped it was just a single product problem and called Amazon (who happily agreed to replace it without any charge and sent the item out next day delivery, asking me to return the original set). The second set I received however had the same problem and started to rust with in weeks. The item description clearly states that the cutely is of "the highest quality stainless steel" and dish washer safe, but rusting cutely is not advisable and this is a brand I will certainly never buy from again.On a more positive note, Amazon Customer Services were extremely helpful regarding both of my complaints and even sent someone to collect both items from me.
