Good, actionable content!
The do’s and don’t do’s are often considered common sense. However, we all know it is not the case, as there are people who are very very clumsy in the way they relate to others and behave in human groups. We all know someone extremely shy, someone aggressive, someone who only speaks and don’t listens, someone that lacks empathy, etc etc... so it appears that knowing how to address people and build fruitful and meaningful relationships is not so common sense after all.Patrick King makes insightful and clear explanations about why we humans behave socially as we do, why we have a biological need to be social, what are the characteristics and qualities that will help you stand out socially and what things you definitely have to avoid doing when dealing with people, among other things.Congrats Patrick!! You’re style is very similar, if not the same, to that of Peter Hollins, are you close friends?

How to be social, in an introverts language
This book is a great brief read on the nuts and bolts of being better at socializing. It covers things from a psychology perspective and comes off as dry and analytical, for which I appreciate. It is reasonably good at giving examples but this isn't the books strong point. Its organization is where its actually pretty good. Writing style is acceptable if you're into the dry sorta stuff. There are a fair amount of editing errors, such as a fair amount of extra spacing between words and at least one typo. There is also oddly no bibliography or clear source listing and the work adheres to no writing style formats used in other scholarly works. This can be expected from a book without a major publisher backing it. That being said its a great source of info for analytic types about how and how not to socialize.

Human Growth
If you want to grow as a human being then I highly recommend this book! Learned a lot from it and I love how a lot of psychological studies have been going on within the last 100 years. Psychology goes hand to hand with human evolution and it should be a required class in all high school classes.

An interesting blend of sciences
The information in this book is thoughtfully designed to combine biology and psychology with the research studies to back its conclusions. I'm an author and enjoy reading books on behavior as it helps me craft more realistic characters. This was an engaging read with interesting information on social interaction...and I learned a few things along the way. I recommend this book to anyone who wants information on the human need for socialization, what behaviors work, and the science behind the why.

Valuable information for making friends
Have not finished this book yet, but had to write a review because the information contained is so well written, helpful and will be a very useful tool for me to develop an expansive social circle as I move into my senior years. I am energized to start experimenting with the well researched concepts presented in this small book and am glad I took a chance and downloaded it.

Interesting points
Very easy to read book, coming with some interesting points about social intelligence, if you are,, belief police" like me you would definately profit from reading the book. I am only giving 4 starts because I am a huge reader and I just have feeling it was pretty good but not awesome as I have a lot of books to compare with :) and I never give the rating on amazon but there was a really nice reminder in the end of the book so here I am :) will buy some more probably! Wish you luck with the writing!

Ok book at best!!!
Book is ok not great. All information contained in this book is common sense. If you need a book to tell you these basic rules like "be a good listener" or "dont give your opinion unless asked" then you have bigger problems. This book would be best suited for teenagers who are just learning the basics of social interactions.
