Scarred Souls: Raze And Reap

I had not read a book by Tillie Cole ever, but when I was browsing through my amazon book suggestions I stumbled upon SCARRED SOULS. I was intrigued by the books' premise...... and wow was I in for a HUGE surprise! Tillie Cole is an exceptional writer and storyteller. Her stories are unlike any other you will get to read. Her stories however, are NOT for everyone. These stories go over topics that may be a little uncomfortable for some. This is a dark, violent romance. However, the rawness of the story telling and the darkness of it combined with the authors ability to tell this type of story is what makes it so unique. I love that she has the ability to make you like characters that in any other romance novel would be considered " the bad guys". If you are into dark troubled, conflicted and overprotective ALPHA heroes, then these are the books for you. I wont go into details of the story because they are too good to give away, but these two books are pretty much tied together, where one ends the other continues.. now we have to wait patiently for the third book that comes out later, :(These stories were mind blowing and completely got me hooked. Needless is to say that after reading these books I am a fan for life. After reading these two books I looked for more Tillie Cole books and stumbled upon her Hades Hangmen Series. Wow!!! Another amazing series of novels that YOU HAVE to read IF you liked the SCARRED SOULS books.

I loved this whole series! So good. I didn’t realise how much I’d enjoy high octane, quite violent reads until Tillie Cole novels were put on my radar. They can be dark but the whole good over evil - love conquers all vibe gets you through those times.

Great book

I so badly want to give this a 5 star but I can barely finish Reap. I absolutely loved Raze's story and have already recommended to others, and I wish Reap was more of a part two of Raze, but it not. Raze is sprinkled in it and I feel like there was a missed opportunity with doing more on him vs. 221.

it is a rich dark suspense romance that will keep you on the edge of you seat! you will think to yourself did she really write that? omg does that really happen in real life? lol, its amazing keep on your toes suspense story with Russian Mafia. but the love story in this book will seriously make you melt! it will warm your heart and make your soul soar. its intense and its deep and its lovely. you will not regret these stories

Book came in excellent condition NEW. I love Tillie's book and been able to hold this paperback in my hands is amazing.This is a very disturbing dark read but so well portrayed. We have hot fighters, Russian Mafia, soulmate love. All combine to create a super intriguing and powerful story. Full of struggles, pain, suffering, injustice, more pain and life changing love.

I loved both these books more then I can express! Tillie Cole never disappoints. Love the way she writes dark and damaged men and the women who love them!!!

Tillie Cole is one of my favourite writers I love ALL of her books from hades hangmen, the sweet home series, sick fux etc...so it kind of pains me to say that I almost hate this book. Don’t get me wrong, the premise is amazing and it could have been one of her best but I hated the heroine soooo so Much! We are supposed to believe she is a powerful woman, running a multi million dollar fighting ring yet on every single page, tears pool in her eyes, moisture pools in her eyes, her lips tremble and shake. She was weak and pathetic and I really don’t know how all these guys were in love in love with her calming effect on them. There was also a lot of repetitive dialogue in the book too. I will read the rest of the series since I bought them all on the strength of her others but it’s nowhere near the awesomeness of the hades hangmen.

We are told the story of Zaal and Talia who on paper should never never be together but we will get to that later.This story has the same vein as Raze in that Zaal was captured as a child and turned into a killing machine and Talia who is the daughter of one of the three most powerful Russian families and who is head strong. They 'meet' under dire circumstances. When Zaal is first brought into Talia's life he seems to have lost all humanity but through Talia begins to come back to life and through that Zaal was able to teach Talia ( who seems to have lived an emotionless life) how to really feel and love another human being. When they first got together his words ' are you.....for me? did me in and I was rooting for them at the get go.But the problem was that Zaal belonged to a family who was the sworn enemy of Talia's family and there was no way on earth that her father will allow her to be with him.What I loved about this story was the intensity between the two characters Tillie Cole is able to draw you in and make you feel the torture and pain that Zaal went through and I really fell for him and I liked Talia she was strong willed and she went for what she wanted which in this case was Zaal (horny cow!) knowing the history between their families. Also Luka and Kisa were also in this story. I loved them in the previous book and I was glad to read that their romance was still going strong but Luka was still trying to adapt to his new life and Kasia was still being the supportive wife ( who I felt was a bit weak) but at the end I understood where she was coming from.They say love conquers all and in this case it did in the end with a little twist. Looking forward to the next book.

Why am I only just reading this book now? Scarred Souls is the first two books (Raze and Reap) of the Series, and it’s fantastic. It’s darker than dark, raw, and so gritty. My favourite kind of romance! It’s a brilliant tale of betrayal, power, and revenge, but it’s not without heartbreak, as well as abuse, and lots of bloodshed. It’s not for the faint hearted.

Such an amazing duo, these books are amazing! The entire series is beautifully written and once I started I just couldn't stop.
