I never used any of the adjustments on the R15 and didn't want to spend money on another driver with features I don't use. So, I bought the Ram FX driver. This driver feels great while standing at address over the ball and performs just as well as my old R15 in distance and accuracy. If you want a new driver, but don't want to pay a lot of money for all the cool features of a name brand driver, consider the Ram FX driver. It works really well. I had been using an old TaylorMade R580 driver and was struggling a lot with it. After talking with a few golfers, I realized it probably wasn’t the best club for a beginner. It’s a very old driver with a smaller head and lower loft, so it just wasn’t very forgiving. I was recommended to look for something with a 460cc head and at least 10.5° of loft. I ended up buying this one in 12°, and for me it’s been a complete game changer compared to what I was using before. Is it a premium driver? No. But for the price, it’s fantastic. I’m finally hitting playable drives and actually enjoying using my driver instead of dreading it. That alone makes it worth it.
