My Weirder School 12-Book Box Set: Books 1-12

My 8-year-old daughter specifically requested this series after reading one in the library. We purchased the set, and she absolutely loves it! She's really happy with it.

My now 9 years old boy now reads all the time because of these books. He brought 1 of these books from school one day, and spent the whole day reading it until finished because he had to return it the next day. He asked me for the whole set, and what kind of parent would not buy books for his/her kids if they ask?I mistakenly ordered this set (apparently this is the second set, now he also made me buy the first set as well), and he went through these in about a week or less. He keeps on re-reading them, asking me what XXXXX means, so his vocabulary is improving constantly.He HATED reading, and now he just can't stop. I'm also going to order the 3rd set pretty soon, and any other set that come after (if it happens).This is one of those things that I would gladly pay anything for, as this is all about getting my kid to love reading.Take into consideration that our native language is Spanish, not English, but I have my kids in a bilingual school, and my boy was struggling with the English language not long ago. These are not so hard that he can't understand jack, but also not so easy that he doesn't have to inquire about some terms and jargon. Great learning tool.

It’s very hard to find these books at libraries and online. If you read 1 book a day you likely will not find the next, in sequence, at the library the next day. I highly recommend purchasing a box set and perhaps donating to the library when your done with each series.

We have loved AJ and the gang since the beginning in "Miss Daisy is Crazy!" This series continues all the awesome goofiness of its predecessors. Or, maybe I'm not the real reviewer at all Maybe I kidnapped the real reviewer and have her locked in my basement. Did you ever think of that? Stuff like that happens all the time, ya know?

This is our third set. We started with AJ and the gang when they were in second grade, the same as our grandson. We all take turns reading a chapter out loud. It's better than a TV sitcom. Sometimes we just can't stop reading.

We found another set of these books for my daughter last summer and it totally increased her love of reading! She blew right through the first set and we were frantic to find more. It would be awesome if you could get all of the 'school' books in one set. Dan Gutman is a talented, funny writer for kids and I would recommend them to every home!

Our 9 yr old went through the entire series (about 50 books) within days. She even carried them along to read in the car. Totally worth it. Wish there were more!
