These are brilliant. Superb quality for the price
These are brilliant. Superb quality for the price, comfortable gel grip and so so useful. The broadest is great for texture on painting things like thick woven blankets; the middling ones do smooth easy streaks for water and reflections, and the smallest is perfect for very fine painting such as animal fur, single hairs like eyebrows, or a dog's whiskers.Takes some practice and but works tremendously with gouache and acrylics (careful not to clog brush). I struggled previously with even the finest of brushes for hair detail, and they are generally make my painting much quicker.I advise watching a clip on You Tube for how to use; putting 2 colours on the brushes creates great effect, particularly for highlights/textures in human hair

Too regular for hair/fur
Useful tool - This can make light work of a large area of fur or hair, BUT the brush strokes are far too regular to look realistic even if you mix the size of brush. You will need to randomize by adding in your own fine brush work. I think technique is half the battle - don't over do it. Large dryish brush work could be just as effective?

Really useful brushes for fur
Really useful brushes for fur, grass etc. I find them a little too soft for oils, but work well with some of the softer bodied acrylics. I would imagine they would be perfect for watercolour too. Glad I purchased them.
