Lockology Loc Dreadlock Shampoo with Peppermint Tea Tree, Organic Shampoo For Dreads

So.... the normal shampoo I use to clean my locs was reformulated. It didn't have the 1-2 punch of tea tree oil and peppermint. It only had one.So.... I went out on a limb and tried this product.Honey!I wasn't ready.This stuff gives Dr. Bronner a run!It's not just my scalp, neck and ears that are tingly.... I mean...But, yeah!Get you some. I kind of love it!(My hair and scalp are clean clean!)

Very good shampoo for dreads. It lathers well and it's thin enough to work through the entire dreadlock. I will probably order more when I am out! I also love the scent but I am willing to try other scents if there is some available.

So I bought this because I really needed a dreadlock shampoo that didn’t leave build up. Shea Moisture was clogging my pores and my dreads stopped growing. I ordered this and was reeeeaaaly looking forward to getting this in the mail.I received the item pretty fast (we’re in the same state) and I noticed upon opening the package that the shampoo looks watery. First ingredient is aqua (water) . For nearly $20 I shouldn’t have a shampoo that is 90% water. I then look at the rest of the ingredients and it’s just straight up chemicals, some chemicals that are not even used in other shampoos because they’re bad for the environment and your hair.When I actually used the product it was very runny. I poured it in my hand and it leaked out to the shower floor. I had to use the bottle and apply it directly to my scalp and dreads. You can smell the peppermint and tea tree oil but you won’t feel the peppermint on my scalp.I washed and rinsed a few times and then applied a towel to my dreads. My bathroom smelled of tea tree oil. My hair smelled so much of tea tree oil that when I applied my fenugreek water (for hair growth and strength) all I could smell was the shampoo. Sadly that’s the only redeeming thing about this shampoo.Honestly you’re better off just buying some peppermint Castile soap and adding some tea tree essential oil. That would not only generate better results, but it would be worth the money.

This is nothing like I thought it would be based on the photos & description that made me want to purchase this product. It’s pretty much water in a bottle with the smell of essential oils. The FYI sticker should be on the picture posted on this page as it was on the product I received. Very disappointed!

Great shampoo that actually lathers with bubbles so you know it’s cleaning deep inside the lock and roots of your scalp! A little bit goes a lot way too! Very aqueous! I just pour it straight in my hair instead of my palms.
