Orion Motor Tech 131PC SAE Thread Repair Kit, HSS Drill Helicoil Kit Standard, 1/4" 5/16" 3/8" 7/16" 1/2"

I used this kit to fix a couple head bolt holes in a Chevy big block boat motor. It worked like a charm. The taps cut nicely and everything seemed to be high quality. Much nicer than what you get from helicoil. This was a pleasant surprise. I only used 7/16-14, but the kit includes most sae course sizes and loads of thread inserts for each size. Nice purpose built metal storage container keeps it all organized. All in all it feels like the quality of yesteryear

Stripped my refrigerator bar, this kit saved me from ordering a new handle bar ($100) and now I can strip as many screws as I want knowing how easy this kit was to use.

This is an extremely great kit. Comes with plenty of helicoils and multiple standard sizes. Did the job I needed it to do. Only thing is I wish the tooling was a little more durable. I had one handle break at the fork on the third use but I bought it mostly for the helicoils.

This thread repair kit was definitely designed by someone who uses these type of tools. The organization and completeness of this kit make it well worth the purchase. Do yourself a favor and purchase this kit.

Worked great. Just what I needed.

Only used the 3/8 kit. The bit broke after a few holes. The tap successfully tapped one hole and then didn’t worked. Used another cheap kit from BILITOOLS to successfully tap the remaining 5 holes. The inserts and insert tools seem decent.I was using it on steel.
