Many years ago I was gifted a pair of these. At the time I graciously thanked the gifter but secretly felt a bit "meh" because I had no idea what I would do with them besides use them as occasional flashlights. As it turned out I gradually came to use them almost everyday. I have two rooms where the light switches aren't near the door, so I place these little lights near the door and often grab one instead of turning on the room light. They are especially useful if I came to retrieve one small item and turn to leave the room again in a few seconds. Because of its "handy" shape it's much easier to grab than a flashlight. And if I need to put it down for a minute it sits perfectly still and doesn't threaten to roll away. It's also convenient when I need both hands to perform a small quick task and can adjust the light to point specifically, and leave it sitting by itself. And if an item drops on the floor in a shadowed area (e.g., under the bed) I grab the light to help me find it quickly. Despite almost daily use the 3 AA batteries last a long time because the LEDs don't use much power. The more I used them the more I thought of reasons to use them, and started wanting one in other rooms too. So I was really glad to discover them available at Amazon.

Batterie's don't last

These lamps are really nice to use around the house during a power outage. I use them in my Master Bedroom as a night light. Very lightweight that I can carry it around in the dark if I just need to look for something without turning on a lot of overhead lights.

I have a 93 yo relative who can’t see what’s in her chest freezer. She has vision issues and can’t read the dials/buttons on various devices. These lights are easy for her to use in kitchen and laundry area, plus the deep, dark freezer.

I love these little lamps. We keep them on the nightstand for a quick light when we need to see something. We use them outside when it's dark. They are convenient. I gave them four stars instead of five because the battery door pops off too easily if the lamp falls on the carpet. The batteries then pop out and I have to collect them and put them back in the lamp.
