First Learning Figure 8 Wooden Train Set 35 Piece

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas and we were both very excited when he opened the box. However, it soon became obvious that the train track was not going to fit together for it to work. After nearly an hour of trying to put the track together I determined that there was no way to make the track fit together in ANY shape in order for him to play with it. Some of the track pieces are lose, others are so tight they won't go together, while others simply don't like the track grooves up correctly. The most unfortunate part was that there was simply NO WAY to complete the track circumference as there was the need for either an additional piece with two male ends or one (or more) of the pieces were simply cut wrong. This was very disappointing to my grandson and very frustrating to me. This is my reason for returning this product. I will be buying another train set however probably not from the same provider. The product did arrive quickly and without damage and it was a good price and I can return it without hassle. Sadly it just isn't usable as is. For this reason I give it two stars instead of one.

This was a good set. My 3yr old loves it, we ordered it to fill out a set we had picked up at a yard sale and it all fit together nicely. The only reason it is 4 and not 5 stars is the little end pegs on each piece of track tend to pop out and need re-gluing, but then my son is NOT the most gentle child!

As already stated there is no instructions and no way the tracks will go together without a male/male and female/female pieces. If this is to add to an additional set then it may work. But in of itself it isn't functional.
