40 Days to Discovering the Real You: Learning to Live Authentically

The 40 Day Soul Fast, has been my number one gift for the holidays. I have givin it to everyone I know from my Pastor to my mother. I will finish it on New Years Eve. I can't wait to start it again. Every section is worth re-reading over and over. The insight in this one easy to read easy to understand book is worth everything. I have read many Christian books and nothing else comes close to the life changing information covered in this book. Any one thing could be life changing if you would just apply it to your life. I have read tons of non Christian books as well and again this one out shines them all. It has enough food for thought for a life time. Mastering the things taught in this book will truely help you be a master of your own life. The price of this book is so cheap, it's worth 100 x the cost, to anyone willing to read and apply the teachings. If you are life me I hadn't heard of Cindy Trimm, but I am so glad I found her she is freash and thoughtful. Buy the book read it and pass it along. You won't regret it unless you don't read it.

I read this through the 49 days of lent and kept a journal along with it. Throughout my time spent in this book and journaling prayers to God, I heard the Lord speak to me about different areas of my life. I read this with the companion book and highly recommend!

Wonderful book. Well written and easy to read and follow. This should be a required reading for young adults. Even high school students who find themselves struggling t o find themselves in life and suffering from 'fear of missing out'.

Every December, I begin looking for a special Bible study to focus on during the 40 days of the upcoming Lenten season. This year, I happened upon this while browsing on amazon.com and decided to purchase it. I'm so glad I did.Each day's devotional is short enough that I can finish the reading and activities during my morning quiet time BUT they give me specific things to think about and to implement as I go through the day. I also appreciate Trimm's writing style -- instructive but not dogmatic, encouraging but not fake or superficial.This study has definitely been a positive addition to my quiet time!

I rated this book excellent because it is very helpful and useful. I enjoyed read and using the information that was written. I would recommend this book to everyone that wants and needs a book that not only gives important information about different recipes, but it gives an encouraging word also. I used this book to teach and encourage the people in my church. I would recommend this seller to everyone...very timely in delivery.

This book is just the beginning to start a journey into finding out who we are. You can only love you truly when you have discovered who your authentic self is. This book along with the actual Soul Fast book by Dr. Trimm will take you on this self seeking journey teaching the principles by which the King Of Kings and Lord of Lords designed for us to live; men and women alike.

How insightful and refreshing to look inside of me through this intense fasting. It reveals where we are and guides us to where we want to go.
