This book is absolutely amazing, I have read quite a number of hand lettering books and could never quite grasp what they were explaining...........that was until this little gem popped up!! First of all the book is beautiful and very well made, I can't stand flimsy, poor quality books, this is a very high quality hardback book. As soon as I opened it and started to read, I understood the instructions, the book is written in a very clear and concise manner. To start with the author explains the basics, from what types of pens to use, how to hold your pen and what the different strokes are on the letters. There is a ton of instruction, advice and practice lessons in this book and each lesson is illustrated for easy understanding so I feel that with continued practice and patience I will be able to successfully master the art of hand lettering! This is absolutely a must have if you would like to learn the art of hand lettering!

This book not only teaches the basics but also tricks to change the styles. I really like it. Would recommend using a tracing paper as it could leave ghost inking to the back of the page.
