High velocity, excellent air movement
This fan really moves the air!! Using it in a 22x15 room and it keeps the room plenty cool. The fan light is very bright. If this is the first fan you’ve ever put up, it will be a challenge, but you can do it. If not you’re first fan to put up, it’s not the easiest I’ve ever put up, but not the hardest either. Instructions were laid out well, in a good sequence that made sense. Fan is quiet and stable, well balanced. Home feature is neat, turns light on randomly when you’re not home.

Nice Fan!
We’ve had the fan up and running for a few weeks, really nice fan. We picked this fan because the wood grain side looked similar to our tile floor, they look great together.Fan is quiet and moves lots of air. Remote easily mounted to the wall next to the switch. Remote controls all functions. 2 things I wish were different with the remote.1) light function had a dimmer or lower light setting.2) color of the remote and attach plate were the same white as standard white switch covers.Again, really nice fan!

Very nice looking fan
The Honeywell Xerxes 62 inch ceiling fan is a solid 4 stars. Great looking fan that has the size NOT to get lost in big room with vaulted ceilings. The 8 blades DOES REDUCE AIR FLOW in comparison to a 4 blade fan, the closer ceiling fan blades get to each other, the less air they can grab.Air flow is still adequate, though a bit anemic on high speed... but it is relatively quiet on high too, so the choice is yours.Installation was not difficult, nor did it require any special skills. I did have to modify the canopy to accomodate a steeper vaulted ceiling, andthe install was still uneventful. HINT: Read the directions. The fan wobbles on high speed, and though a balance kit is supplied, the cheap P.O.S. clip is not worth trying. It's clamping force WILL gougethe blade's finish, and snap in half before you can use it. (I used painters tape to stick it on the top side of the blade.) Balancing a fan is tedious. No one does it. Hence the crappy balancing kit.The LED light kit DOES dim (read the directions) though the long button press to do so is slow to react, and to dim the light. It works. All said I still think it's a keeper, on looks alone... It does everything else, just not great.

Too many issues to list in the heading!
First off the hub is out of true which causes the light kit cover to not fit and actually bind the fan to a stop.Second the maximum speed of the fan is slower than the medium speed of my old fan, which would be ok if it moved any air. (yes the switch is in the right location). The remote is cheesy and poorly made.If you are interested, run away! I'd say you get what you pay for, but I paid a lot for it.On the good side it is very quiet, as it barely rotates and absolutely silent after its screeching grind to a halt on the light collar.

This dim light blows.
The fan itself is well designed and quiet. Where the designers fell sadly short is with the built-in, and apparently unreplaceable LED light. It is far too dim to adequately light any room, let alone one the right size for this type of fan. It can't be changed out for a brighter light now, or in the future when it someday burns out. Bad move, Honeywell! Also, the remote has a counterintuitive design to further add to frustration with this product.

Best fan ever…
The media could not be loaded. First, they usually never write review. However, I thought this item should have one. I replaced two older vintage cast-iron Hunter ceiling fans which I thought would be one of the worlds best. These new Honeywell fans are far superior. I believe this is the best that we have ever used in our home. They have several speeds that move air more efficiently than any other fan we’ve used. We live in sunny, hot Florida and have a vaulted ceiling. Our home was continually hot to the point of considering replacing air conditioners. We use these fans in two rooms and immediately solved our issue. I highly recommend these ceiling fans. They were very easy to install and have convenient functions on the remote. A very good value and definitely worth the investment.

Honeywell Fan is big disappointment
The fan looks good, but does not move enough air. I bought this fan for performance and looks. I got the looks but not the performance, what a big disappointment. Our old 52" close to 25-year old fan (I believe Hampton Bay) was very powerful compared to this one. It would make you cold on the high setting. This fan does not do this. One of the review comments said it has a CFM of 6310. This convinced me to buy fan. What a mistake that was. (My opinion based on observing the operation of fan is the fan revolutions per minute (RPM) are very low and eight fan blades surface area is small.) The Honeywell rep said that claim was not correct. Why would the company not provide this important CFM info with all the other listing details? I have very high ceiling and had to hire electrician to install fan. I am currently talking with Honeywell about this low CFM issue and about getting this problem addressed. I will add more details on this matter and any resolution from Honeywell, if I get any. Though so far they have nothing satisfactory has been done.Note: Also the receiver was defective on fan, so electrician had to drive to Home Depot to purchase another one (giving me an extra $89 expense for the installation). This was done so he could complete the install that day. If we had to wait for Seller to provide new receiver, it would have cost even more in labor and ladder rental fee. This is my first Honeywell fan and most expensive fan I ever purchased. I also suspect, it will be my last. I am still waiting from Honeywell to get replacement remote and receiver. So far I have not received any action from Honeywell to resolve my issues. Overall this has been a big expensive disappointment.
