These blinds are very sturdy and better than I had imagined, after reading reviews saying they only take such and such to install, I disagree my son had difficulty with the Instructions not being the best. Thus is not a criticism, just being honest other than that once they were up I absolutely love them! I will be ordering more. Very quick delivery too, they came before the estimated date. Bought these for a west-facing window that makes the room feel like a storage heater in the afternoons and well into the night. They're marvellous; fit the window opening with a little bit of adjustment to the top box with nice long strings to adjust daylight in a space that's not particularly accessible. As well as being able to shut out bright sunlight, they also significantly reduce the heat in the room so I'm very happy.However I've docked one star because the advertising is somewhat misleading. If you have to make any adjustment at all you WILL need a hacksaw. I wouldn't attempt to trim these slats with scissors. In our case the slats were the perfect fit for the window itself, but the box was a tad too wide and it was quite a job to saw it down. So don't be fooled by the reference to scissors in the description.

Wasn't sure when I ordered this blind as it was lower priced than others.Very pleased and good quality I didn't want the tapes and this had the strings so I am going to order another one. Delivery was sooner than expected as well

but too heavy for one person to even lift up the blinds.kept it but i should hire a handyman to install, as there is no way i can lift to fit by myself.that means i could have the window treatment custom made and have them install.
