Q: I need a fxo port. as many customers are complaining, is it obi212 or obi202?

I also received an Obi202, not the Obi212 I ordered. So I did not bother to try again until they get their act together. I will look to see if I can get it from another vendor.

Q: is this like magic jack? the pay monthly or per years ?

No this is not like Magic Jack. All you need do is pay for the Obihai device (initial purchase only) and then have a Google Phone Number (no charge). That is it. I have had this setup for 3-4 years and it works great and there are no additional charges.

Q: Can i keep my same phone number?

Hello! If you are planning on porting your number to Google Voice, we recommend checking if your number is eligible to be ported by following the Number Porting tutorial on the official OBiTALK website under support. Google Voice requires the number you want to be ported to them to be a cell phone number, so this would make it a two-step process. Q: What are fxs phone and fxo gateway ports?

Thank you for reaching out, the OBi212 does not have a specific gateway port number for FXO or FXS, FXO port is an interface that connects your Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) line to a VoIP adapter. It designates a telephone signaling interface that receives POTS (plain old telephone service).
