Q: Just wondering if, in a silent room, can you hear the watch ticking or no?

That is something that would bother me also. If you hold it to your ear in a quiet room it is barely possible to hear it. As silent as a watch gets.

Q: I have smaller wrists and don’t prefer large chunky watches. Based on that, should I buy or go look into another?

One of the best parts about this watch is its size. While it's certainly a go anywhere, do anything watch, the case size is near perfect even for a smaller wrist. It's definitely not an oversized, bulky dive watch. This one is an absolute must have whether you're a watch enthusiast with 50 watches or just someone looking for a comfortable, rugged, and reliable daily driver work watch.
