APEC Water Systems Drain Saddle Valve with 1/4" Quick Connect for Under-Sink Reverse Osmosis System (Saddle-Drain)

I recently installed the APEC Water Systems drain saddle valve as part of a reverse osmosis setup, and it worked flawlessly. The materials are sturdy and well-made, and the clamp felt secure on the drain pipe without any slipping or wobble. The included gasket creates a nice seal, and I didn’t experience any leaks after installation. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone doing this for the first time. The material is durable and the push fit connectors are easy to use. The foam seal works well and there are no leaks. We are using this drain for our RO system and I highly recommend this saddle drain.

Works to drain a pumped dehumidifier into a sink trap. Needed a shim to fit tightly but solved the problem. No leaks.

So should have known better, but lesson is do NOT overtighten plastic connectors/fittings! Cracked my original one of these after cleaning out r/o rejection drain that got gooped up from sink drain grease and nastiness, and this was a perfect fit and replacement! Have been buying various APEC products off Amazon and very satisfied with all of them, including R/O tank, R/O system valve, and this. Will continue to buy APEC products!
