***Update #2 (December 8, 2020): Both remote battery pack and AcuRite weather station are going strong without any issues. Still ORIGINAL batteries since Christmas 2018 ~ Using Lithium batteries as better in Cold climate weather.** **Update (March 18, 2020): The remote battery pack is still is use without issue....AND still the original batteries since Christmas 2018....We have experienced all weather conditions since then and the unit has literally weathered them all from nearly -50 C to + 30 C...snow, rain and a LOT of sunshine!! Very pleased!!** Gifted for Christmas 2018 with the AcuRite weather station and it is completely compatible. It was received quickly and works well so far. The cord is long enough to allow for easy access to the batteries for changing them all while keeping the main battery compartment undercover and out of the elements. A great feature is the fact that the batteries are separated into two sets so that you can ensure you do not lose your historical data when changing the batteries. I hope this review was helpful!

Great for those weather stations that are high and out of reach... Also the idea that data is not lost when battery changes are made is the most important. Great product so far !!

Odds are the time the batteries die in your acurite 5 in 1 weather station is going to be in the coldest part of winter. Installed this and with its long cord was able to position the battery pack where is is very easy to access. No more worries about climbing a ladder in the dead of winter to replace batteries. Great product

What a great idea. I now don't have to worry about getting the ladder out to change the batteries any more. AcuRite bring out some great gear.
