Chrome is a great addition to Triplett.
Great product! Being android based and coming with chrome installed was a huge benefit. In cases like with Axis cameras they don't natively allow for ONVIF control but can view setup properly using Chrome and to configure ONVIF through the cameras ip address and the default username and password. Only thing I don't like is that it claims to allow for use with 4k cameras, which isn't actually true because it cannot display 4k camera views and the stream must be changed to 1920x1080 to view it properly.

Not compatible with Axis cameras
This might sound more like an open letter to Triplett tech support, but I actually purchased this device on the recommendation of a fellow CCTV technician. It turns out that he, too was aware of this issue with Axis cameras, but unfortunately for me, many if not most of the cameras I'm assigned to work with are Axis IP models. No matter what I tried, I could not get the Triplett 8150 CamView IP Pro 5 to login after discovery - using any of the IPC/ONVIF functions. There is even an Axis app included in the rather impressive software list, but still no video due to login failures. Absolutely no amount of camera resets, or any combination or Axis usernames and passwords would allow the tester to access the cameras. I tried it on 3 different models, both on the LAN port and on a network. Even after updating all the application firmware, I spent hours trying to find a solution. I would like to mention that the tester worked perfectly on the 2 other models I tested, a Hikvision and a Honeywell, so I honestly have no other issue with this device, and I would happily recommend it, so long as you're not working with Axis cameras.

Excellent Tool For The $
This by far is not an overly advanced device but it gets the job done. I've only had it a few days but have used it to adjust a camera, reset IP addresses on preconfigured cameras and to enable DHCP on cameras already placed on the network. I've also used the PoE and OTDR features which worked flawlessly. One of my customers was so impressed with the ability of the device for the price their installation coordinator/lead purchased one and is make the recommendation to their install techs. The cameras I've worked with so far have been from various manufacturers and I've had no problems connection to any thus far.

Can’t focus/zoom Axis cams
I connected to several Axis cameras. All was fine, except for the fact that I couldn’t focus or zoom unless I was on the website from a PC, so I decided to return this.

Disappointed
having used a different model of the triplett IP tester that worked very well for years. This new ones battery lasted around ten minutes and never brought up the camera to view. The camera being a standard OnVif camera. I'll be returning it.

Game changer
Log into IP cameras and get them set up just as easy as using a laptop. Nice screen that you can read, POE output works well, DHCP server works and seems quite sturdy and well built. The interface might take a little getting used to but this is a MUST HAVE for IP device installers.
