NOT COMPOSTABLE - MADE WITH polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
These are advertised as compostable (which is why I bought them) but when I received them they list PET as one of the main ingredients and say that they go in mixed waste. Yes they are slightly better than Scotch Bright as they are made with some natural elements but they are still going into the garbage. FALSE ADVERTISING.

FALSE ADVERTISING!!! CONTAINS PLASTIC
Misleading description. The label says they contain mixed PET which is plastic.

NOT RECYCLABLE, FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
These sponges claim to be "Compostable", and made from "All Natural Material – Different from traditional scrub pads for dishes, our kitchen sponges and scrubbers are made from all natural materials. Our natural cellulose sponge is made from coconut husk and wood pulp." But as the picture shows, the scouring pad is made form 50% PET = polyester, which is NOT recyclable.FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
D**!
Not so eco friendly. Lies.
This is falsely advertised. I would return them if I hadn't already opened them. They are definitely NOT compostable as they are 50% PET, a.k.a. polyester, a.k.a. not plant based and plastic. I am furious for being lied to.

Not bad. Small and easier to hold and break in. Scrubber works great. Sponge is very absorbent.
I always bought Groves walnut sponges. But they have gotten a little too eager to saturate their marketplace with too many products so I let my membership go.Near $5 for two from Grove. These are smaller sponges. They last as long and are definitely as durable to me. I've had no odor and no falling apart issues. At this price, one a week (they last longer than this though) would be fine with me.The one very used sponge photo'd was used daily (hand dishwashing) for 2 weeks. That was my first one used and I wanted to see how long I could push it... Still mildly abrasive and absorbs as much as when first opened. It just got ugly and I didn't want to see it constantly on my counter looking like that.I toss the used ones in the washer then keep them for cleaning, garage/shop use, veggie washing in the garden...Not bad sponges at all.I will purchase again.
