Q: Is this something you would use to spray then wipe down painted walls? Has anyone used it as that type of application with success?

I was born with very severe allergies: pollen, dust, and dust mites. I have used this product for over 20 years just as you have described. I always have a large spray bottle full on hand and regularly spray walls, carpets, furniture, curtains, bedding and upholstery. I spray it on a sponge or cloth to wipe down any surface that gathers dust. I have never had it stain or discolor any surface or fabric. It really made a huge improvement it my home life.

Q: Does the product need to be used within so many months after opening?

You'll have to contact the manufacturer for a definitive answer to your question. I have been using the product successfully for quite a few months with no apparent diminishing of its strength.

Q: Can I spray this directly on my mattress and my clothing far back in the closet?

I do spray my mattress which is covered with a mattress pad but very lightly. Occasionally I also spray my made up bed by lightly spraying my bed spread. Do not soak it. I also spray the back of my closet but again lightly. I have found the key to using this product is to spray lightly,I even spray our leather recliner and then wipe it dry with a soft cloth.I have had excellent results with this product and have been using it for years.
