It is 'the business'! It is a rigid back shell with the usual, 'divided' front cover which folds in several places to effect a stand, and is magnetic ( which holds the front cover closed and operates the auto on/off function). When I received this I was a little unsure it would stay in place as the 'lip' which locates the case on to the pad around the front edge looked rather shallow, but I have to say, that being a rigid back, it located with a satisfying 'click' on the last corner and hasn't been any problem. Most importantly, it fits the iPad perfectly, no 'warped' edges, or moulding inaccuracies anywhere. Absolutely snug fit with cut-outs for all switches etc. (in exactly the right places - not always so with other cases). The thing which really impressed me, however, was that there is adequate cut-out for the charge plug! Most previous cases have never got this quite right, resulting in the case flexing as the plug is inserted (with additional, unnecessary strain on the socket). In one instance I had to resort to shaving the aperture with a craft knife to get the plug in at all. Not so this case!This is undoubtedly the best thought-out, best fitting, best manufactured and least obtrusive case I have ever seen. The only thing I cannot vouch for at present is its longevity ( I've only had it a short while) but nothing about it leads me to think it will not provide long service. How this would stand up to serious drop of the iPad I don't know (and have no intention of testing), but I have never dropped a device yet (tempting fate now!) but the case, for me, is more to provide general protection from daily knocks and scratches and to cover the screen (from same). All of which this case does. I would have no problem in recommending this case above all others. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dem Original ebenbürtig und viel günstiger *by M***N on Reviewed in Germany on 19 October 2016* Habe das schwarze Case für das iPad 4 jetzt seit einer Woche. Das vorherige original Apple-Case mit Rück- und Frontabdeckung hat sich nach drei Jahren buchstäblich aufgelös, mir aber auch manche Reparatur erspart. Insbesondere die Verklebungen an der Rückseite waren anfällig. Ein paar Eindrücke meinserseits:- Die matt-schwarze Oberfläche fühlt sich samtig und angenehm an. Die in anderen Rezensionen geschilderte Tendenz, Fingerabdrücke anzunehmen ist nur minimal. Zudem lässt sie sich gut feucht abwischen ohne Flecken zu bilden. Ich gebe sie meinen 3 und 4 1/2-jährigen Jungs in die Hand. Ich weiß also, wovon ich sprechen.- Die Passform ist perfekt. Die Rückschale ist viel fester und steifer als beim Originalcase und auch dicker. Das hinterlässt bei mir aber einen postiven Eindruck und wirkt keinesfalls klobig und sehr elegant.- Das Cover ist im Vergleich zum Originalcase nicht vier- sonder dreigeteilt. Das führ dazu, dass der aufrechte Stand unglaublich stabil ist, was ich bis jetzt als einen der größten Vorteile empfinde, kein Vergleich zum Apple-Cover, das das 4er-iPad kaum halten konnte. Man kann Multitouch-Gesten ausführen und muss nicht immer befürchten, das Gerät umzustoßen. Außerdem klappt das Cover nicht hinten über, wenn man es auf die Rückseite faltet, um das iPad nur in der der Hand zu halten, was auch sehr angenehm ist. Der Tipp-Stand ist durch die Dreiteilung steiler, was Vielschreibern vielleicht zu hoch sein könnte, mir selbst aber in der täglichen Nutzung nur positiv auffällt. Es gibt in diesem Modus keine Magnethalterung, was aber nicht stört, eher im Gegenteil.- Die Sleep-Wake-Funktion klappt makellos.- Die Kopfhörerbuchse ist perfekt ausgerichtet.- Anders als beim Originalcase lässt die Einfassung des Displayrahmens von vorne einen gleichmäßigen silberrnen Rand des Gehäuses frei. Wer, wie ich, ein stark angemacktes iPad hat, kann hier weiterhin die eingedrückten Ecken oder Ränder erahnen.- Das Cover schließt nicht so dicht ab wie beim Originalcase, weil es keine umlaufende Gummilippe gibt.- Die innere Verkleidung des Covers ist wahrscheinlich keine so hochwertige Mikrofaser wie im Originalcover. Die Selbstreinigung des Displays ist nicht mehr so gut. Könnte aber auch sehr gut daran liegen, dass nach einem Displaybruch kein Originalglas mehr drauf ist. Das von Apple war extrem resistent gegen Fingerabdrücke.Fazit: Das Khomo-Case schneidet vor allem im direkten Vergleich zum wesentlich teurerern Originalcase sehr gut ab. Wenn die Oberfläche weiterhin schmutzresistent bleibt und sich keine unerwartetet Auflösungserscheinungen zeigen, bin ich sogar geneigt zu sagen: es ist mindestens ebenbürtig.
