Is it just me or is Moana doll’s skin tone a lot darker than it was in the movie?

Miss Kitty, there are many Native Hawaiians who have a dark complexion. On top of that, Moana is Polynesian. The Polynesians are the ancestors of Hawaiians. According to history, they were mainly dark in complexion, which is why there was some controversy about Moana’s lighter complexion in the movie. That being said, the doll is pretty much spot on with the movie.

In the product information it calls for 1A batteries why is it needed.
