This should should be a requirement for all coaches
The book is a must for all coaches and personal trainers. This should be one of those books that you keep in your gym bag for a quick reference to answer any questions you might have concerning the proper way to perform an exercise and to understand the muscles that are being used. Kevin Carr and Dr. Mary Kate Feit did an awesome job. The book is easy to read and understand, the pictures are clear and incredibly detailed. This book should be a requirement in every course related to strength and condition or exercise physiology.

Webinar awesome - book is good not exceptional
Attended a webinar in which the author provided insights into the topic of the text and he went in depth into hard science. The book was a disappointment in that, the depth is not as much as what I got from the webinar. It's another good book but I thought it would be so much more than images with how to perform different exercises. Learned more from the 1-hour webinar than the text but if you are new to S&C, it's a great foundational text on functional exercise.

An essential read for ALL fitness professionals
This book gives me hope that the fitness industry is finally evolving! Kevin and Mary Kate did a tremendous job. It's for sure one of the best books on movement out there, and the content develops a framework for understanding movement learning. An essential read for ALL fitness professionals. Five stars for sure!

What you need, nothing you don't.
This book was awesome! Very straightforward explanations for how and why. The illustrations are great too for highlighting the muscles working in the exercises, and then with the sports application of each.

Would give it 3.5 stars, if I could
The book is a lot shorter than I was expecting. The info is useful but there is a lot of empty space in the book. I also wish it would have been better formatted so the exercise and the exercise description were on the same pages. Oftentimes you have to flip back and forth between the description and the exercises which is a bit annoying. Some of the exercises have multiple images to properly show the motion/muscular movement while others have one static image that leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, a useful book with great exercises but questionably worth it with the price point and the amount of info provided. Would give it a 3.5, if possible.
