I like that there is no junk oil or anything but good smoked fish.

The fish is good but I haven't figured out a way to open the can without spraying smelly fish oil all over the place. The last piece of the lid is always under tension and releases like a spring.

Cost is high, but these are tasty. A bit under-salted in my opinion. But these are the only atlantic mackerel in brine I have found.

Great quality, high protein.

But they are also excellent at the level of smoke flavor they have.

It is super hard to find mackerel where I live and so having the Bar Harbor Smoked Mackerl tins delivered is an excellent treat. They are very tasty and solid. Packed well and good amount. Have purchased before and will do again.

These are delicious tasting and they are very healthy for you. I've now switched from sardines to this brand of mackerel. Love the flavor! I took 1 star off because some of my cans came damaged, making them messy to open (due to the design of can).

I was a little surprised to find myself buying canned fish on Amazon. And now I'm even more surprised to find myself inspired to write a review of it. But this fish is so good I can't help myself. Hands down, Bar Harbor has the highest quality canned fish I've ever had, and it's also the least expensive. What a find! I've had the Smoked Kippers, the Herring in Mustard, and the Smoked Mackerel: all stellar. I expect to be ordering these again and again.
