Martin Yale 912RS3G Master Catalog Steel Rack Starter Set, Gray, 12" Filing Capacity, 25" Wing-Wing Length, Heavy-gauge Steel Construction

A bit confusing to assemble, but very sturdy. Was instrumental in helping me have my HTS Schedule for my LCB exam. I was one of the 12% who passed!

Worked very well in holding my HTS Volumes 1 and 2 and the CFR Title 19 needed as reference material for taking the US Licensed Customs Broker Exam. Without the catalogue I would not have been able to look up the information I needed as quickly as I did and this is absolutely critical when taking this exam. I had no problem with the structure - it is solid, stands firmly and at the right angle and height - perfect! The only issue I had (and only reason for one less than five stars) was the process of assembling the stand by sliding a long thin rod through holes to secure the stand (has to align properly). After a number of attempts I finally rubbed the rod with a little W2 and made sure the holes were free of burs. Then I used a small hammer to help "carefully" move it through the aligned holes. Once it was through, the rest went together easily. Solid, good quality and works very well!

Just received my brand new Master Catalog Rack Starter Set, Capacity: 12 Inches/45 Degrees, Gray (MAT912RS3G). It looks quite intricate, but is easy to assemble nonetheless. I placed 2 thick reference books in it without too much difficulty, and the pages can be flipped through much faster with ease.What I don't like are the hinges of the sections. Each section has 3 hinges. The two hinges at the two ends of each section rotate around a short steel wire. Those two steel wires were slightly flattened at one end and are loosely placed inside the rotating hinge hole. On the rack I received, a steel wire simply fell through a hinge hole. I found the section that lost that piece of wire and put it back in, but it fell through again. In the end, I used a pair of pliers to make the hinge hole smaller to prevent the wire from falling through once more. It is working now.I suggest the manufacturer figure out a better way to prevent the wires from falling through the hinge holes. It could be as simple as making the wires longer, sticking out of a hole on both ends, and flatten the wires on both ends.

I used this rack for HTSUS. It worked vey well! However, I'm not sure if I can carry this rack to exam..it's quite big.
