It is and always has been a cream. Once you swipe your finger across the surface the creamy texture is more apparent. It is not thin cream, because there is little water or alcohol in it. It is not cement. **Q: Do you still need to use one of mere normans cleansers with the cleansing creams? Or can you skip to your toners after?** A: I can tell you what I do which may not be the typical routine. I cleanse at night, then apply either OleHenriksen serum, Glow Cycle Retin-AltPower Serum followed by Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme. I have found the Henriksen product to be very effective on dark spots. It seems to even out skin tone. My other application is L'Oreal Revitalift serum followed by Cream REvitalift. This is also effective on evening skin tone. I use toner then in the morning. **Q: Is this the original fragrance?** A: Hey there.. yes it sure is. This is exactly what I got from Merle Norman in California. He works great !! I have used Merle Norman for over 40 years and I always get complements on my skin. **Q: 47 y/o. Skin feels slimy even after removal. Are you supposed to use this moisturizer as well?** A: I have found that to be true as well...it sits on top of the skin. However, I use mine at night and remove what I can which takes the make-up off, then leave the residue until morning. It does help to soften the skin, perhaps hydrating a bit.
