Clever idea!
I purchased two of these to put at gravesites at the cemetery. (Check with your cemetery to make sure they allow this.) It was easy to install and seems to be well made. Time will tell if it lasts, but if it lasts 2 or 3 years it is worth the cost, and I'll be happy. I like that the vase part can be emptied and flipped over when not in use. This will prevent it filling up with water and cracking when it freezes in the winter. I purchased cut flowers to put in them and used the "food" packets that came with the flowers. The vases hold a quart of water. Two weeks later the flowers still looked good, and the vases were still over half full of water.

Good quality
Much cheaper than what the cemetery would sell you. It's made it through one cold winter w/o cracking, so I expecte it to last a while.

very nice
Easy to place, my aunt has something to get water and put flowers on now. It was easy to install, you dig the hold of the outside container, put it in ( a little hard to make it tight, dog, leave a little loose dirt at the bottom make sure its still dry, pour water to make the dirt at the bottom wet to level things off, then I just put a little wet dirt around. The sided and twisted it around a bit and push etc. After a week it stabilized itself like it was in cement)After putting the outside container, the inside one that doubles as a water container, just slides in and out the onlybthing is that if there is water bin the outside container then inside container floats (this is the only bad thing that's why I gave it a 4 and not a 5)

Great idea for cemetaries
I was looking for something like this for the graves of my loved ones. I was also on a cemetery board for 25 years and dreaded hearing the workers complain of the vases and flowers left that they had to mow around or remove. I bought one of these to see how well it would work. I dug a hole, put in some sand and rock and put the container in and next flowers. I went back at the end of the season and removed the flowers, flipped the container and replaced the lid. The next year, I came back and it was just as I had left it. I bought more and will add them this next Memorial Day.

GREAT FOR THE CEMETERY
I WAS MISSING ONE SHOVEL. CAN U SEND IT TO ME. I HAVE THE OTHER 3 SHOVELS.I LOVE THIS FOREVER VASE IN GROUND. IT IS JUST RIGHT NOW THAT THE CEMETERIES DO NOT WANT ANY FLOWERS WITH WATER AT THE GRAVES BECAUSE OF THE MOSQUITOES SITUATION. I RECEIVED THEM ON TIME AND WENT TO THE CEMETERY IT WAS GREAT TO USE AND SO SIMPLE. I TOLD MY FLORIST ABOUT THEM AND HE TOLD THAT PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING THE GREEN CONES BECAUSE THEY CAN'T USE THEM IN THE CEMETERY. I TOLD HIM TO TELL HIS CUSTOMERS TO GO ON LINE AND OTHER THE FOREVER VASE IN GROUND. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT BUY.

Forever vase grave-site restrictions
I ordered the Forever Vase as a permanent flower holder at my Father's grave site.--The order arrived ahead of the projected delivery date and was intact. The item included a free small plastic trowel.--Before using the product we are required to contact the Cemetary for any items that will become a part of the gravesite other than general disposable arrangements.--The cemetary told us if we were to use the Forever Vase,we would have to pay $50.00 for their maintenance staff to dig the hole where it would be placed. The Forever Vase is: 7 in. Diam.(Top)4.5 in. Diam.(Bottom) X 8 in. H.--This is considerably larger than the general plastic cones allowed without cemetary required approval.--We were also told they would not guarantee the plastic, even if flush to the ground when inserted, would not be damaged or destroyed during normal grass-mowing maintenance as well as weather variations would possibly dislodge or move the Forever Vase.--As we did not want to pay $50.00 for a possibly NOT Forever Vase,we did not place the piece at the gravesite.--I applied for a refund thru Amazon, which went directly to the company Forever Vase site.I received an approved refund request for the product,$19.99 but not the shipping.Along with the refund approval, they included a statement which the gist of was: This is the first return request the company had for their product and they have sold hundreds. They also said the product would not be damaged by lawn-mowing.--I responded to the company's message the same day, asking why they hadn't included postage cost in the refund.I also explained the fact I had not used the product and why.I told them of the $50.00 cemetary insertion charge and their not being able to guarantee no damage or loss of the Forever Vase.I explained the mowing maintenance is not a "lawn-mower" but a tractor pulled multiple blade grass cutter. And I noted,as they had said, this was the first return request they had received.I said there should not be a problem providing professional customer service on a per request basis.I also asked if they would like to contact our cemetary re: the restrictions we were told and the cost we were told.--I finished my response by telling them I would not use the requested return ticket and I would not be using their product,The Forever Vase.--I did not receive a response,3 weeks ago as of today.I have not used the product and consider it a $19.99 testament to the ideal of customer service and not a monetary motive.--With 40 plus years in the restaurant industry and many other "general public" jobs, I have heard, seen and marveled at the innumerable variations of "customer complaints" and strived above and beyond to address and satisfy dis-satisfied people. Whether your product is what you claim and believe it to be, 99 out of 100 might love it,but someone will not be happy, deal with it professionally.

Seems to be a great idea and I hope it works for us!
I think this is a good idea and will take it with me to visit my in-laws gravesites - on Christmas. I do this every year for the past 5/8 years (for mother-in-law and father-in-law respectively). My hubby says he thinks the vase is too big. I hope the hole that was dug for the original urn (ripped off by thieves for it's metal value - replaced once and ripped off a second time as well) - is a standard sized hole that'll take this vase. We cannot afford to pay hundreds of dollars for another metal vase that'll probably get stolen, again. There is a special place in the hereafter for these 'vase-robbing thieves'!The vase seems good quality and I hope it works or we'll be onto plan B - which involves cement and a glass flower vase.....Thank you.
