Roebic K-77 Granular Tree Root Killer WORKS for Keeping sewer line clear!
This has worked great for maintenance! I generally have to have my sewer line snaked once a year. I purchased this product in early April and applied according to directions into the toilet. So far this year, I have not needed a professional service and it has kept the roots from clogging my sewer line. I plan to use it again late October to ,early November before the temperatures drop

Time will tell
Not a cheap product but fast delivery. Easy enough to use. I just have to wait and see if it works.

Did not work
We had an influx of Jasmine roots into our pipework and thought that this would kill them off. The Jasmine was cut down last summer and is no longer growing. The K77 Root Killer was put down as per the instructions and left for 12 hours. There was no difference to the obstructive roots and we had to get the professional drain company to come out and use a specialist machine to cut them and then pull them out. All Clear now! Hooray.

Annual Treatment Is Key To Root Free System
20+ years and no issues. I am a believer in root killer dumped annually into the septic system. I had this house built 20+ years ago and even though we have several trees, we have not had a root issue with our septic field. Now, as I’ve mentioned, I do treat the septic system once a year. Not always with the same manufacturer of chemical - personally, I think it’s good to read product testing and see which is the top brand recommendation. Having no issues, tells me I’m doing the right thing. I do recommend premixing the the chemical with water in a 5-gallon bucket, using 1/3 of the contents into 3-gallons or so of water. (Please wear safety goggles and gloves) I stir until the crystals are dissolved then you can either dump the contents directly into the septic tank / drop box / or simply flush down the toilet. I prefer dumping directly into the tank. Do this until the full contents of the container of the container have been mixed and dumped / flushed into the system. Follow up with several flushes or as I do, use a garden hose to flow the contents / root destroyer into the drain field.
