Daughter's laptop wouldn't charge even though AC adapter worked great on other laptops. Almost shelled out $$ to take to repair shop but decided to check youtube for advice. Came across this part and ordered it. 2 days later, installed it and it worked like a charm. PC is back to running like normal. Great buy

I have a 4 year old Inspiron 5482 P93G001. For months, I had to have my cord a certain way, up over the screen, pulled tight under the laptop, etc. I bought a new cord, it didn't help. I was nervous about installing this product. It couldn't have been easier, it took maybe ten minutes. This part was slightly longer than the original, but I was able to tuck it in without a problem. Unlike videos I watched, once the laptop was apart, the only screw I had to remove was the one holding the jack in place. I've had it for almost two weeks now, it's so nice to just plug in the jack and see the charging icon immediately.

If I had to guess this isn't an OEM part but it works fine. The pinout is the same as the original component from a Inspiron 5591, and the connector feels tight as it should, but doesn't quite feel the same as when the machine was new. The cable is longer than the original but doesn't cause problems in a 5591.

Like others have said the wire is a little longer than the original, it must need to be longer for some of the models it is listed to fit. With a little work you can wiggle it around and get it to fit with little problem. It fixed my power cord not always connecting. I would recommend and buy again if needed.

Needed replacement due to loose connection to DC charging port. Description said this part was for my model, so I purchased it, plus it had 76% 5-star rating. Delivery was prompt. However was surprised to notice it was a little longer than the original part. Had to manipulate it a bit to get it in place. Tested it before replacing the backing and BIOS said it was charging, but the indicator light did not come on. Original P/N was 450.0F903.0001, but the description says this is ...0011, so not sure if that's the reason. Good thing is the DC charger works. The reason for the 3 stars is that since without an indicator light, I can't tell what's happening until I turn on the laptop, and also since the cable wasn't the same short length as the original, my back cover doesn't close properly around the charger area. So, it gets the job done, but...
