Amazing product! Better flavor then any other brand
Update: I now no longer care about the packaging. I have tried at least 8 other brands of yacon syrup and this syrup is by FAR the best on the market. Yes the consistency is sometimes thick but after trying all the other junk syrups I am more then happy with it. It also never affects my sugar level which is why I started trying yacon syrup to begin with. I am very sensitive to sugars and sweeteners and am unable to use most. I experienced zero sugar problems while using this syrup daily (sometimes up to 3 times a day even). The other brands are a lot thinner in consistency (similar to pancake syrup) but their flavor is always terrible. The Gold source is more of a thick honey consistency. If you have tried other brands of yacon syrup and didnt like the flavor then try this one. You will not be disappointed. My review below talks a lot about the packaging and the struggle with the consistency of the product. I eventually figured out a great solution that worked perfect. The product always separated leaving a thinner product on the top and a thicker product on the bottom that was almost impossible to get out. I started adding a little bit of water and shaking it before each use. It worked perfect and never changed the flavor of the product at all. Gold Source, I am sorry I gave your packaging a hard time. Please bring back your Yacon Syrup!!!!Original review below:I love this product and use it daily. I am on my 3rd bottle now. The flavor is super yummy. Reminds me of molasses but without the mineral taste. I love to sweeten my tea with it. Dont eat more than 2 teaspoons at a time or you might be running to the restroom. It has a laxative affect if you take too much and could potentially give you a very upset stomach. I take 2 tsp, twice a day in tea and I have never had a problem. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star is because of the bottle it comes in. The syrup is super thick and it has a tendency to separate leaving thiner syrup on the top and thick syrup on the bottom. The only way to mix them is to stir vigorously with a spoon and scrap the bottom. The syrup on the bottom resembles peanut butter that is dried out. Seriously, this stuff is impossible to get out. The only solution that I have found is to drain as much as I can into a mason jar and then take a sharp knife and saw the bottle off right above the label. Then I scoop it out with a spoon and put it into the mason jar and then stir them up until mixed. Every time I get a spoon full out of the jar I have to stir again. This might be too much work for some people and honestly I am not happy about it either. They need to package it in a container with a large lid so we can fit a spoon in and stir. Some reviewers mentioned using a kabob stick to put down into the bottle and stir. My experience tells me that it would be impossible to use a kabab stick. Maybe they got lucky and had a bottle that was filled and shipped quickly. I just know that two of my 3 bottles it was impossible to get the syrup out without cutting into the bottle. Hopefully the company will fix this issue and then I will gladly give it a 5 star review.

Magically delicious!
So odds are good that you were attracted to this product for many of the same reasons that I was, reasons like probiotic support, improving digestion, maybe reducing appetite and the like. I can't speak to the health claims, having only had this syrup for the past three days, but the science seems to reflect this product's merit (Check out Yacon Syrup's write up on Examine dot com for more), so as long as what's in the bottle is the same thing that's on the label you won't be wasting your money. What I CAN speak to after three days is just how delicious this stuff is! We all know we should get more olive oil in our diets, and apple cider vinegar has health benefits as well, but the idea of drinking a shot glass full of either is absolutely revolting to me. I expected Yacon syrup to be similarly unpleasant. Thick, slimy kefir, garlic breath, fish burps, as someone who takes his supplements I'm all too familiar with the less glamorous side of health foods, but Yacon syrup has none of these. This. Stuff. Tastes. AMAZING! Unlike nearly any other "health food" I've encountered Yacon syrup is beyond palatable. It mixes well in water at room temperature, dissolves completely, and enhances the taste of the beverage.Yacon syrup tastes like a blend of milk chocolate and Werther's Original caramel candies, with just the slightest hint of molasses. The flavor is not, in any way, shape, or form, overwhelming; it's mild enough that I can lick the undiluted syrup right off the spoon! Unlike apple cider vinegar I can absolutely imagine myself drinking a shot glass of this.So far I've only tried it pure, or mixed with my daily drinks, but I can imagine Yacon syrup going extremely well with tea, mead, or any other hot drink. It could easily be at home on top of cereal or on top of ice cream. Ooo! Or maybe in a marinade or as a glaze! I'll have to try that sometime. If you're concerned that this will be yet another revolting, stomach turning health food I've got good news for you: You're wrong. This is liquid candy, without the carbs. I highly recommend this Yacon syrup for the flavor alone, the heath benefits turned out to be just the icing on the proverbial cake. For the manufacturer:Hey Gold Source Labs! Want to make a million off of this? Take this syrup, stabilize it so that it's solid at room temperature, maybe mix in a bit of supplemental pre and probiotics (Or vitamins, or minerals, or nothing additional at all), and sell it as candy prepackaged in teaspoon-sized servings. If Werthers can do it with caramel and pure sugar, then you can do it with Yacon syrup! Or maybe we've found a low sugar substitute for low carb candies that won't land it's consumer in the bathroom for three days straight? In any case, I'll be buying this again. Kudos for the delicious product!
