We bought two of these. This one and another brand. I hate the other one. This one is well made, so easy to clean and helps my dogs with boredom and stimulation. It can be set up easy or not easy. NOTE-I read reviews about dogs chewing them up and honestly, that’s 100% on the humans for leaving it unattended. Of course it can be chewed up, but so can my shoes but I don’t leave them alone on the floor with yummy treats inside and then get mad if torn up when I leave them alone with them. Anyways, I have two dogs. A boxer and a min pin. The extra attachments are perfect for the long nose dog because he has to work harder for them and the hidden treats on matt are perfect for the boxer. But the boxer is flat nosed and as he tries to get into the extra attachments he can’t get to the treats as easy as my min pin with a longer snout but I still like it because it keeps them stimulated longer and that’s why I bought it. The size is about the size of a round bathroom rug. It folds up to store away and cleans easily. It has felt and a nylon type covering. It’s big enough for multiple dogs and has quite a few hiding spots plus harder attachments.

My shepherds usually rip through these mats even being left for only a few minutes. The amount of money I’ve spent on enrichment toys is almost concerning. While the mat itself isn’t as durable - that could literally just be because my dogs are monsters with them. However I love how deep the snuffle mat is so you can actually hide hide the food vs just sprinkling it over like most mats. I LOVE the extra items to loop in on the sides for them to get more enrichment. The instructions also give step by step on how to incorporate them so that your dog doesn’t become frustrated and give up. This has been the perfect item to feed them in the morning - I can actually enjoy a full cup of coffee and they’re actually getting good mental stimulation compared to just using a slow feeder. It’s also incredibly easy to use - just pop in the washing machine. I use just baking soda in the wash since they eat on it daily.

I was surprised how well this has kept our very intelligent pup entertained. Just the flower mat itself works really well and we'll add the harder elements on days when she can't go outside as much. I've also washed it multiple times and the material has held up well.

The media could not be loaded.  Wow!!! This is the absolute BEST DISCOVERY for our Mr. Finnegan! We have a 22 lb (big) Miniature Schnauzer (the best doggo EVER!) and he is super SMART! We needed something challenging for him to immerse himself in and this mat plays to all his natural instincts to “Rat Out” the treats and other objects we may place in the mat or the accessory puzzles that come with this mat. This is 4 years late discovering this fantastic mat. Better late than never!!!***Do not pass go and please order this mat for your Pup! Do it now. No regrets. It’s sturdy and fun! Just make sure you monitor your pet because it does have felt leaves and flower petals for those little chewers.Doesn’t matter what size dog or level of intelligence; they need tasks to stay out of things you may not want them in! Considering they don’t have opposable thumbs to leave the house and a remote control for the TV, they get bored! Pet owners owe it to their pups to provide them time to be themselves (dogs!) and snuffle and snort around for healthy goodies rather than the trash can. We don’t have issues like that with our dog but I believe that’s because we have always tried to provide him with challenges for his brain. This mat gives us him a way out of being anxious and nervous during the few times we have to leave him in someone else’s care for short trips. He is a lucky pup because we are with him all hours.Do not hesitate, just do it! It’s hours of absolute joy and entertainment for everyone.*I use grain-free bacon/blueberry or brisket flavored treats and we use this mat liberally because he is already a grazer for his food and you can see he is amazingly healthy; his coat is so soft and shiny!! As long as they stay a healthy weight and the Vet gives the okay, play away! Hide toys or treats... they love the hunt!

We have a lab mix who, given the opportunity, can inhale an entire cup of food in quite literally 30 seconds if we let her. So we're on the hunt for various snuffle mats to slow her down. This one is clearly a REALLY good mat, but not if you're dog is psychotic about food.If you have a "normal" dog who will have the patience to sniff/ferret out their kibble, this will work SUPER well for you. It's large, you can just throw it in the wash (we haven't yet but theoretically you can), the hidden petal pockets offer excellent hiding spots, and the bonus treat/puzzle toys are solid. Great choice!But if, on the other hand, you have a dog like ours who LOSES HER G**DAMN MIND at food and has ZERO patience whatsoever, you're going to want a more durable mat. The first time we used it, she didn't even try to sniff out the hidden petal pockets and instead tried to simply rip the petals out. We were supervising her (of course) and immediately tried to show her how to push aside the hidden pockets and petals, which sort of worked. Sort of.We still use it for her dinnertime (it holds about 1 cup of dry kibble nicely) and showing her has helped a *little* bit, but she still resorts to trying to tear or rip the fabric out instead of having the patience to snuffle.And it is just felt, so it's not going to hold up to a food-obsessed dog. Not the fault of the mat/manufacturer and again, if your dog is calmer with food, this is a great choice! But for psychos like our lab mix, you'll need something more durable.

Great product. Our 14 year old Basset needed some sniffing engagement and absolutely loves this mat. Little hidden pockets can make it a bit more of a challenge. Washes easily and hang to dry. Would definitely recommend

Omg this product is amazing. I have a German shepherd and he absolutely loves trying to find his food. The material and product is durable and made very well. The whole process of purchasing and the postage was so convenient and so fast. Can’t thank you enough

The smelly matty is extremely well made and durable. It is the only dog puzzle that keeps my very active dog busy for any length of time. She solves puzzles in seconds. This mat keeps her happy and engaged for several minutes. I highly recommend this item.

It’s ok .. my dog ripped a couple of petals .. material is like felt... not good for big dogs .. I stitched it back together and will just watch them while the use it.. it does keep them busy and stimulated for quite awhile
