Dorman 38458 Front Door Hinge Pin And Bushing Kit Compatible with Select Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models

I used this kit to repair the driver's door hinges on my 2007 Avalanche, the job itself isnt fun or easy but this great kit had everything I needed to do the job.

Fit perfectly n easy to install

Bought this for my 2011 Sierra2500 hd drivers door. Very poor instructions and no photos to show you how these pieces would fit. I had to figure it out on my own. Took longer than I expected but eventually i did get it installed and works fine.

Worked fine but wish there were instructions

Bought this to replace my squeeky driver lower door hinge on a 2009 Yukon XL 1500 but this is not the correct part. After hours of searching online, youtube, etc I found that almost every major aftermarket website shows the Dorman 38458 but they are all wrong. I even contacted Dorman via email to ask but have not heard back. I found the entire bracket PN 20969645 on another GM site and punched that in to Amazon and got this for about $91 with Prime. Leaving these comments for others that may run into the same problem, but unlike the other review/comment you dont need a "tool" to do this. It seems that GM has change hinges multipl times over the past 15 years and this may fit one of them but dont buy this if your hinge looks like this - "Genuine GM 20969645 Door Hinge, Front, Left, Lower".

I was impressed with the quality and fit of these components. There were no fit issues and all new parts pressed into old hinge tightly. Retaining nuts were a nice addition to ensure pressed-in pins never back out or loosen in their fit. You must remove the hinges from the vehicle (one hinge at a time with door supported by jack) to properly install these parts. Once installed, door hinge was restored to new condition and very tight - no play or slop in pins.

Quick shipment. And the correct parts for my 07 Silverado NBS. Would have been nice to have some instructions but thats not the end of the world.
