I've tried every topical cream a dermatologist can prescribe (epiduo, rentinA, differin, etc.) but they never helped very much. So finally during my sophomore year of college, I was fed up with my skin and decided to try accutane. This was hard for me because I'm very picky about what goes into my body (picture organic hippie haha). But as scary as the commercials make it sound, after doing some research, I decided it was the right choice for me. Best decision I've ever made. However, a few months after I was done taking the medication, my acne was cured (no more pimples!) but my oil levels were still slightly above average. This is is when the mask became truly vital. I use it a couple times a week on my T-zone for about a half hour(just a thin layer) and it makes a huge difference. I would even venture to say I now have "good skin"-a claim I thought I would never make. In short, if you've struggled with terrible acne for years, there is no spot treatment or mask that will "fix" your skin. Accutane may be a little spendy and have a bad reputation, but it works. I just wanted to share my skin journey because I want everyone to be as happy with their skin as I am now :)P.S. After a year or so, depending on the humidity of your climate, the mask may dry out a bit. If you add about two tablespoons of water and stir it with your finger(or a spoon) and leave it overnight, it will be back to normal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Best Sulfur Mask *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* I’ve been using this mask for years. Works well for acne, oil prevention and other skin conditions. This particular mask by DDF works better than other sulfur masks with the same percentage of sulfur. Way more effective than Kate Somerville. True staple. For acne, I recommend using a maximum of twice (maybe 3?) a week and not leaving on for longer than 20 minutes because it really does draw the oil, and you don’t want to strip the skin of all oils, even acne-prone skin. You can use more frequently as a spot treatment though as I do overnight for the inflamed cysts or pimples. I’m more liberal with other skin conditions. Holy grail product for me. Amazing for tinea versicolor also, along with a different company’s sulfur soap. It adheres well, provides a barrier, and you can leave it on overnight for it. Works better than prescription medicine for that. This mask is worth the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Don't think it's helping but feels really good *by I***1 on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2014* This has a higher sulfur content than the Murad and the smell shows. BUT, it leaves your face feeling even better than the Murad mask. I'm not entirely sure it has been overwhelmingly helpful, as I still get the same amount of gross when I do my Biore peel, but I've had fewer breakouts. I have changed my facial care routine to cleansing with Olay facial wipes daily, olay microdermabrasion on the third day, Biore pore strip facial after the microdermabrasion, then the mask. The instructions say once weekly but it really does leave your face feeling really good.
