Are the answers on the back of each card?

No the answers are not on the back of the cards. It is a game that needs to be played with a parent. My girls (5 and 7) enjoy playing it.

The description says facts 1-10 does that mean answers up to 10 or 9+10 for instance?

answers are up to 10, basically for beginners. My daughter is 3 and uses her fingers to do the math problems.

Would these be appropriate for kindergarten?

Surely. You can add and subtract in a fun way. In fact I used it s Kirk with my kindergarten class.
