I'm lefthanded, and the fit just isn't as suited for lefties. Even in my right (not-dominate) hand it feels more natural than my left.

Grips for Support
I remember back in the day when I had friends in elementary school using these grips to help with their writing. I could never figure out how to use one until I received these. I purchased these in hopes of helping my fingers from feeling cramped. After a long day of classes and college lecture I often find that my fingers are sore when I was taking the notes. I know this is because I am not holding the writing utensil properly, and also because the utensil does not have the proper support for my finger. Thats exactly what these grips are designed to do. Once you are able to master holding the pen or pencil with the grip and can write, you can start to notice the support they are giving to your finger tips. I enjoy using these items because they do provide support and leave my fingers less tired after a day of notes, but the grips are also bulky, and can only be held a certain way, and I don't like this. I had to keep the package on me to keep reminding myself on how to hold the grip properly, but once you get used to it, its like riding a bike.I received these products at a discount or free for my unbiased opinion. I do not receive compensation for my reviews or let the sellers influence the opinion of the product I was sent. I treat every product as though it's of 5 star quality and drop the rating from there. Again, this review is written as my unbiased opinion of the product and no outside factors affect the genuineness of the review.

love it!
Pencil grips that enforce the tripod grip were recommended to us by my daughter's occupational therapist. This is the second type I have tried. The first was slimmer and more whimsical, whereas these are thicker and more practical. My daughter prefers these because of their texture and sort of squishyness. She finds writing and drawing a fair amount more comfortable, and can do so for longer periods of time than sans a grip without complaints of it hurting or becoming too tired. I also like to use them myself! My youngest is just beginning to write letters, so I'm happy to have this to encourage that tripod grip early on. I've found getting them on or off a writing utensil takes a bit of wiggling sometimes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since it also means they won't slip around. They can definitely be used for either right or left handed users. Great product -- highly recommend to parents of children with motor delays or beginner writers, or to anyone that may be feeling fatigued after writing. I received this product at no cost to test and review. All opinions and experience are my own.

Greater comfort for my hands
These six pencil grips attached to a full-color cardboard backing. There were six different colors - yellow, light and dark blue, red, pink and green. What I Like about Write Grip Pencil Grips1. You can use these easily, no matter which hand you write with.2. They're great for kids, but also for adults whose hands get fatigued or who have arthritic hands. My handwriting has declined over the years, since I started using the computer more. I find that these grips actually help me hold the pencil steadier and more easily (though my handwriting still leaves a lot to be desired).3. You can use these grips on pencils, pens, even paintbrushes.4. The grips feel insanely wonderful. They are a tactile delight - soft and deliciously squishy.I was given these pencil grips free for testing and review purposes. These would make a perfect gift for a school teacher or parent of a K-1 child. If your child has difficulty with fine motor skills, these grips would be great as well. I teach, and got these with my students in mind. But I'm so pleased with the ease in writing they've given me, I plan on keeping them for myself! Again, it hasn't been a miracle cure for my handwriting - I still have to focus on making letters correctly. But, the extra girth in the pen gives me greater comfort. Note that these do take a little time to get used to - as it changes the size of the writing utensil some. But they feel so great, it shouldn’t take long to adapt.
