Remotizer First Prize

I needed this item because i wanted to make sure that my landlord does not keep walking in on me whenever they want , without them knowing that I changed my locks. So I attached this to a one sided lock that I already have in the door. Workd as expected and it rarely fails. My gripe: it is not anywhere near plug and play or universal. I had to change my entire lock and do multiple manipulations to make it fit. I really dislike products that claim universal compatibility, when they are far from it. Expect a lot of work when you get this.

Remotizer is excellent it's been about 6 months now. I don't think it has failed once! After having a chained bike stolen from front door area, I wanted to increase security for my wife. I like that she doesn't have to fumble with keys outside. She simply hits remote button and door is waiting for her opened. So she can get right in. Also works with my old regular key. Installation can be slightly tricky just because you need a couple of screw drivers to take apart the existing lock. Level of handiness from: 1-5. I would say you need a 2 level. Added bonus is that she can open door for me from bedroom when I lock myself out after a night of partying ;)

As I was installing it, the two black bars slipped well into the inside of the casing. Now I need to remove them because the unit is not working well - the key doesn't work and I have to press the remote 5 times for the door to open/close. The problem is I can't reach to remove the black bars without breaking the unit because they are so deep down into the unit. The instructions stated: "Slide bars down through the holes as far as possible". Now, it's impossible to retrieve them to get the unit out.I needed help ASAP because my daughter uses her key to enter my house, so I tried to contact the seller. The only way to contact them is by an email on their website: [email protected]. I've sent an email twice with the same results: Address not found.Update: As time passed, it got worse - it just didn't work, not even with the key, so I had to break it and replace it with my original lock.

I used the Remotizer to make a garage door lock and it works perfectly. I put a dead bolt in a block of wood, followed the simple Remotizer instructions to install it the same as one would on a door. The remote programed easily and unlocks my garage door as I pull in the driveway. The picture shows the basic setup. The Remotizr part was dead easy, putting a dead bolt in a block of wood is a little harder.

Other than a slight engineering/design issue , I was pleasantly surprised. Been in the hospital for 4 months. Got home today & installed it fairly quick considering my handicap.Have not had a single malfuction since I installed it. The added convenience plus low investment has been a blessing. The one drawback has been locating a reasonable priced replacement remote control control.

Once I figured it out, it works very well. Whatever you do, do not take it apart or drop it before installing it. Ha ha. Just follow the instructions.

I purchased this to reduce the pain in my injured leg from frequently having to get up and walking all the way to open the door in a busy one person office.

Just what I wanted. Works great and easy to install. I would recommend this product to a friend or anyone that ic looking for remote door lock.
