Ingenious Safety From Cars
I wear these about 5 inches above my ankles on my legs with no problem. No digging in the skin or falling off action. Now to the actual reflectivity of the bands. I got yellow because I knew that this color along with white, according to Verdante, were the brightest. For the people complaining that they are not bright or reflective at all, you must realize that if a car is coming up behind you while you glance at the bands, they are not going to appear to light up because the light is not reflecting directly to you but to the person in the car. To the person in the car, they are glowing, but to you they are not. To test this out without a car, get a flashlight or a headlamp and shine them on the bands a few feet away from you in the dark. If you have the light sources at eye level, the bands will be really bright. Put the lightsources at an odd angle away from eye level, and they will not be as bright or light up at all. Trust me, people in cars definitely notice because the headlights are not far from eye level.PROs: 1. Convenient and quick application 2. Stay on any limb you put them on correctly 3. Truly reflective, not a gimmickCONs: 1. For this price, I should of got four. This item gets 4 stars because of this.

Not just for biking
These small, lightweight, easy-to-use reflectors are great for any kind of commuting - not just on bikes. Now that winter is coming many of us commute to and from work in the dark, these reflectors help drivers see you when you are crossing streets. There is really no reason why you should not carry these with you on your commute - put it on your arm, leg, or bag - easy, comfortable, and safe.

Great!
I was really impressed with the shipping speed. I have prime, but I didn't remember if this item was included the prime package or not. Either way, they arrived within 24 hours when I clicked complete order. I haven't worn them yet other then testing them to see if they fit my wrist, which they do. The green/yellow color is a great reflective color. I'll be riding my bike (when I get one later this week) as a primary transportation to get to work because there is no immediate parking within the area (it's what happens when you work on campus at a hospital, it's all color decal parking only). The driving out here is crazy and I want to be seen, I'm glad I got these as a part of my "gear" collection, thanks for a quick and easy transaction.

OK, not great
I got these because of the higher visibility rating compared to other snap-bands I have from Nathan and Fuel Belt, and I figured the longer length would go well around bulkier, cold weather clothes. The quality seems to be a little lower than the Nathan & Fuel Belt ones I have. The velvet-like fabric on the back is not smooth on the Vedante as it is on the others and is mottled in appearance. They probably cut the fabric a little too long vs. the reflective side so when they were bonded together, the fabric ended up bunched up slightly. Or maybe that's a feature to allow more air circulation for summer use? :-)The Vedante is very slightly undersized compared to what was advertised for the width. It's slightly wider than the Nathan, slightly narrower than the Fuel Belt.

Does the job
I needed a little extra something to help me say "Hey Car, don't hit me" The yellow is super reflective and I wear one on my ankle and the other on the opposite forearm. I've only worn these over clothing as it is 9F out and gets dark early. For the money they are better than anything that lights up or flashes.

i SWEAR some people have nothing better to do than bitch.
Competitive cyclist for 27 years.Best product i ever used, buy the large, so what they wrap around twice.oh and for you who get boo boos..i know a great cheese to go with your whine. I mean you can complain about a lot of things in cycling ,like the bozo who sold you a 48 cm bike when you needed a 52. Thats legit, but you see i am from the rule that in today's texting and talking on your cell phone its better to be seen and with legs in motion and two different colors in grabs their attention..One more thing please when buying a light use the helmet mount,or buy one. i notified Cygolite that any off road even road riding is twice as dangerous without a helmet mount. Your eyes follow the light and you lose all balance without the helmet mount using two is good but with the Metro 300 RECHARGABLE LIGHT your good to go for hours..they have higher models but its all i need to turn dark into light. i actually get cars giving me the high beams like shut the light off and i never point it at cars. im buying 4 pairs after this, by the way there's a super reflective paint that is 3 x brighter than anything on the market. Its called REFLECT ALL. Its way more dangerous that before take it from someone like me who almost died from an spaced out motorist, broke my wrists, elbows, back messed up my shoulders broke my back and crushed 3 vert in my neck. But cycling is the only sport besides swimming that releases my daily requirement of dopamine . To each there own but for weight control and building your cardio, slowing your diabetes and making you FEEL great cycling is great. These reflectors save your life you wont have a clue that you almost got hit but the reflectors made the spaceshot swerve to avoid killing you...oh heres the name of the reflective paint for your spokes cant review it yet but be sure i will, follow the directions and shake the can constantly, but most important take the wheels off and use painters tape to cover your hub, nipples and rimwall. One more piece of advice dress, act and ride like a pro and youll get the respect ,never trust a car, ive hade standoffs with cars you go NO i said you go..he waits i wait looking at my clock like ill be here all day pal..lets face it theres plenty of idiots poorly dressed, switching lanes without notice and NO HELMET.i dont care if the guys riding a Colnago , hes not wearing a BRAIN BUCKET..wont even look at him, sorry for the novel but i dont want anyone to go through what i have.Stay safe and teach your children well, my daughter does 30 miles and asks for more shes 8...but i stay close behind her and talk to her about proper form and always being in what i describe as a happy gear, shes going clip-less but is afraid but aren't we all first time..kinda SU&%3 PUSHING and not knowing that push/pull is like a an engines piston..just train her or him in a grassy field and set the allen bolts loose..Peace

Vedante makes an excellent product
These reflective bands are absolutely fantastic. I purchased white .because of its ability to reflect longer distances. I contacted the company too see if they manufacture an XL size. The response I received stated an XL size had been experimented with but did not meet the companies standards.
