Cooper/Regent outdoor motion sencor light
We had purchased Cooper/Regent outdoor lights from Lowe's . When we needed to replace one of the lights-we could not fine Cooper so we purchased another light. You're not gonna believe this but each time the new light was tripped the blower to the heater came on, no heat just air. We called the HVAC man and they could not find out what was wrong and they wanted to instal a new board(this spells money). So I noticed the light was onthw next time the light was tripped. We canced the "board" and looked for Cooper lights no the net found them at Amazon and have had no problems since. We have used Cooper outdoor lights since 1999 and have been so pleased with this product you see how much we went through to find Coper lights again. I would not purchase any other light.

Poor quality and reliability
Really like the compact design, but two fatal flaws contributing to the one star rating--Sensitivity: Unit does not pick up any motion until the object is within four (4) feet of the sensor, despite being mounted at optimal height. When the light was first installed (4 months ago) it would only pick up motion from 8-10 feet away. This morning, in the dark, it would not turn on at all.-Lux (light level at which the lighting system will start operating) adjustment: Despite being set to the darkest (moon) setting, the light comes on in full sunlight (when there is motion within four feet).Well within the two year warrantee, but return postage cost is almost as much as I paid for the unit. And to return the unit I would have to find something to cover the hole in my wall until the replacement unit arrived; not worth the hassle.Interesting input from multiple other reviewers regarding the socket twisting off at first bulb installation, and still rated more than one star. I don’t think so! Since I had already had this issue on the previous product install, I was very careful to avoid fully tightening the bulbs, but obviously it’s a sign of poor quality. The light did not come with the Quick-Connect push in wire connectors, nor wing nuts, but it did have wire nuts for making the electrical connections. How does one make an electrical connection with a wing nut? And there are several statements in the instruction manual that just don’t make sense. I would grade it a “C”.

Just a so-so device so far.
I had the same problem as another reviewer ("Emily," perhaps?). The metal screw thread part broke off from the inside of the left socket (my left when looking at the sensor, with the base of the fixture upward, fastened to the underside of an eave. Emily, was it the same one?). This happened with very minimal force applied to the bulb as I was screwing it into the socket. I'd forgotten about the warranty altogether since such a long time had passed from when I bought the unit. So, while I was at Menard's looking for some means of repairing the light socket, I happened to look at other security floodlight units, which were generally somewhat more expensive. Lo and behold, though, they also had this one, and for less money than I'd paid Amazon. It seems to be working perfectly so far. My only complaint is that yours truly was less precise than I'd have preferred in cutting the aluminum soffit material through which I had to install it. Oh, there's also the problem of that hip rafter getting in the way, which I had no idea was there, since it's a gable roof. Neither of these counts off for the light, obviously. Now that it's there, it seems to work all right. I have two 120-watt halogen bulbs in it, and it does crank out the lumens, as a security light should.

... wanted an exact replacement for it so I could easily remove the old and put on the new
I had the exact light that was pictured by the seller and wanted an exact replacement for it so I could easily remove the old and put on the new. The light assembly I received was not the one that was pictured by the seller and I was disappointed because the light I thought I was getting was better made and had more features that were easy to adjust. I also had to modify the electric box to make this one fit.
