Shorted on screws
Received three 2-packs of these hasps today. When installing the first one, I noticed I was short one screw, so I checked the other hasps. Two sets of 7 screws, four sets of 8 screws. In no case were the claimed 9 screws provided. Not that big a deal, but come on. Why claim to provide 9 screws, and then short the customer? Is it really worth it?Overall quality is pretty minimal, but that doesn't much matter for my application and the price was acceptable. But shorting on screws is just offensive.

Cheap, thin metal. Missing hardware.
These came individually wrapped with all text in Chinese. Only English words were the company name. No instructions, which is not a problem if you have any prior handyman experience. No template either, which is a problem, as it just adds unnecessary steps to install. The hasp latch is made with thin metal, and would only be good for lightweight applications. It will keep curious eyes out of whatever you are locking up, but will be easily defeated by someone serious about breaking in. Really cheap! The hinge also only opens to around 120 degrees, and it is backwards. Instead of the hinge facing out, it faces inwards which results in having to cut out a piece for the hinge to fit into. Otherwise it does not sit flat. The package was missing a screw as well. Luckily I had one close enough to fit in my odds and ends drawer. The screws provided are countersink heads. Theoretically, these should fit into depressions in the screw holes so they fit flush with the hasp. The hasp however, does not have the depressions, so the screw heads stand proud above the surface. The screws are also very small and short. It would be super easy to pry them out with very little effort. If you just want to keep things from prying eyes, this is OK, but I'd go for something more robust.
